Hmmm.
A lot of the questions are worded to get a black/white response. I'm "grayer" on a lot of them than they would let me be.

Yeah.. that was my problem. And one about "Mothers" and being Homemakers bugged me. Cause It was hard to tell what I was being asked. I decided to go with whether a woman should be a parent first, and a working woman second. I kinda agree. but I also think a man should be a father first, and a working man second. I know one must provide, but not at the detriment of family.

It's hard to narrow all those questions down to data-points.

Re: Et tu, Elwynn?
Some are obvious, but others seem... vague to me. Like they could swing both ways depending on how you interpret them.. Maybe that's part of how they work... Yay Psychology! I wasn't much of one for test like this.

Perhaps. Though the Myers-Brigg is rather useful.

And one that strangely everyone seems to get a left libertarian result from, regardless of their actual political opinions!

A - Test bias?
B- Common traits of simulation micronationalists (wonder what the secessionists would get)?
C- Common traits of Shirithains?

So, I answered everything in reverse, more or less and got this.
Economic Left/Right: 5.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 7.49
So, I guess we are all just rather similar people, deep down.

Someone should write a test that indicates "Duchy" preference.

Hawthorne effect, the questions that get you that result have 'nice-guy' answers that you choose (consciously or subconsciously) because you want people to like you more. So I say A, test bias.

Don't get me wrong, I am a marxist through and through. I don't go as far as preaching communism to the masses, but my opinions are known.

Except that:yes, not being an arsehole generally is a liberal idea
Not begin an arsehole =
Being very careful about choosing words about every little nuance=
Politically correct speech=
Chastising those who do not use politically correct speech=
Being an arsehole.
It works the other way as well.

Well.. I'm not actually a psychiatrist.. I'm just a guy with a BA in Psych. I'd need an MA to be called a Psychologist. and a PHd to be called a Psychiatrist. I think it even requires a certificate on top of it.

From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

"Economic Left/Right: -5.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.59"
Lefty-libertarian. I've taken this test before, though not in a longish while, and that's about consistent with previous results, though possibly slightly more left/less libertarian.

Re: Et tu, Elwynn?
I was very left/libertarian, moreso in each than the Australian greens Party. I have to say, though, I don't like the analysis of Australian politics on that website, it is really quite annoying that Australian parties seem to be much more authoritarian than other countries, and I can tell you for a fact that we are not.

Re: Et tu, Elwynn?
Although two-axis political tests are a considerable advance over the older, one-axis "left-right" ones, I don't put much more stock in their meaning. Considering the complexity of political feeling, I would think that there have to be a number of other axes you could tack on that might reveal further differences between otherwise-similarly placed people. In my case, for example, although left-libertarian is... not incorrect as a description, I've always felt that it fell far short of describing any actual philosophy I hold.
And then, of course, even as-is, this test could be improved. Even leaving aside the possibility of poor question phrasing or a tendency to biased results, each question could have a sort of "how important is this issue to you" slider associated with it (a feature I once saw in a religious compatibility test, and which for me made a big difference in the results).

Re: Et tu, Elwynn?
I wonder what a Shireroth political, 2 axis, test would look like?
