And to be honest: the waffles from Liege (a city and province in southern Belgium) are even better.Shyriath wrote:I hereby upgrade my demands to Belgian waffles.

But were it delicious waffles from Liege? I don't think so!Erik Mortis wrote:I just had waffles for breakfast, thanks to the GF.
*Bows to the wishes of the Waffle King*This is going to the SHrine.. btw.

I have heard they do, but not in large amounts (mostly Belgians who are in the USA that sell it). But if you visit Belgium and you're on a market: BUY THEM! BUY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!Shyriath wrote:Well... does Liege export its waffles, by any chance?

If I have to believe the history, I get the feeling that Belgium has annexed some Dutch regions / cities. And do we own Parijs (= Paris)? The waffle has been a national food in Belgium for many, many years and they are named after the towns in which they are baked (e.g. Brussels, Limburgse, Parijse,Friese, Naamse, Gouda stroop, Flandre galette, Vervier, Lorraine, Liège).
Just warm it up and go or eat it as is. No iron needed.
Indeed, the most northern part. I vreally don't know how it became part of Belgium.Falkner van der Sluijs wrote:Wait, isn't Friese part of the Netherlands?!? That's the region my family comes from!
