A loyalty oath - with a twist

Post by Kaiser Ikol II »

Lots of Kaisers have demanded loyalty oaths. I'm going to demand a real one. You don't have to take the oath if you don't want to. I won't kick you out of Shireroth or bother you about it. If you're not comfortable with one part of the oath, you can leave it out and just say the rest of it.

But I hope you don't. I hope every citizen of Shireroth is willing to say the whole thing. I said earlier that I wanted to deal with rage-quitting and rebellion, and this is the first step toward that. If you share the vision of a more peaceful Shireroth, please give my your word.
I swear loyalty to the Golden Mango Throne and to Kaiser Ikol II Kalirion.

During his reign, I swear I will not rebel against the Kaiser, nor support my subdivision in rebelling, unless the Landsraad has passed a resolution calling on the Kaiser to abdicate and the Kaiser has refused. Unless such a resolution is passed, I will use peaceful methods to influence national policy.

And during his reign, I swear I will give five days notice in private to the Kaiser or MiniImNat before I quit Shireroth. During these five days, I will try to "cool off" and determine whether I really want to leave the country, or whether it was just a decision made in the heat of the moment.

This I swear before my Kaiser, my country, and my gods.

I'm honestly not sure I can swear an oath like that to someone with a signature like yours...

Bolded part added. If you're going to take this all seriously, so am I; my Nelaga citizenship prevents me from swearing full loyalty.

The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).
