Gordon Brown calls election (UK)
Gordon Brown calls election (UK)
Well, it's official! Gordon Brown has called the general election, which will now take place in a month's time. Parliament will dissolve shortly, and after a few weeks of intense campaigning, the country will go to the polls.
Election Day is May 6th, five years and a day after the last election.

Which basically means that between now and the 6th of May there is absolutely no way of getting politicians to shut the fuck up short of braining them with a lead pipe.CJ Miller wrote:Well, it's official! Yeah, but yours are only at it hard and heavy for a month.
Ours NEVER SHUT UP......
It's like they are all 3 years old, "....look what I did, look what I did...."
We could solve the problem with a hunting season, maybe just bow or black powder...........
Need to thin the herd, you know!

I always thought it would be amusing to have them fight each other. I mean, just wait till there's a big heated debate on the Senate floor, toss in some weapons. Could be good times.
A bit more constructive, maybe, is put them in a Survivor-like situation on some island, except that for the challenges they have to solve various national problems.

Well, a chap who is the living proof of a successful NSA experiment to produce a MacGyver/Chuck Norris hybrid is naturally going to be well prepared.

And then Admiral Nimitz will rise from the grave and end Petraeus' reign of terror with a butterknife.Aurangzeb Khan wrote:Petraeus v the entire Congress, armed only with a spoon. My money would still be on the General...
