I love how I've been home for like an hour and you've all managed to drag me into this as one of the major players when all I did was say what I saw from the chat a week or so ago. Y'all are crazy. :D

Actually it was your "I'll go inactive if he joins" comment that made you a player. Then you declaration with Mike in the chat to that extent. YOU made yourself a player.

No. Why couldn't you just leave the CJMiller thing alone! I can't yell at you on IM so I'm gonna yell at you here.

Why can't you just leave things alone? Seriously. It wasn't even an issue until you made it one. I could have simply have denied his application and saved myself a large amount of stress and hassle. I have more important things to deal with. But once you made it an issue I had to adjudicate it. I had to take a neutral stance on the matter and deal with it as such. I'm angry at Mike and Harvey to for forcing my hand and acting like assholes. He's not even worth the crap I'm having to deal with now. But you had to make it a matte of principle that it be dealt with.

God fucking damn you Scott. You're my friend. But sometimes you REALLY piss me off.
I didn't force you to let him into the country. I didn't even care that much one way or the other - I'm not saying he'd be a model citizen or anything. And I didn't force Mike to ragequit his positions. All I did was say it was unfair to call him racist and cruel to call him a "retard". Both of which I still believe.

I didn't make it a matter of principle. I just pointed out that it was one. Your sense of fair play did the rest. It sucks having a sense of fair play sometimes, but I'm glad you do, and it's not something you can pin on me.

You let him in because you thought it was the right thing to do, Mike decided to be a whiny bitch about it, and you're taking it out on me. But the real problem is the atmosphere in this country that says it's okay to behave the way both Mike and CJ are behaving and then throw a fit when someone tries to act like an adult and put an end to it.

If it helps, I think you're a decent Kaiser, although the house change is sort of anticlimactic.

Scott, stay out of things you don't know anything about. When I ask someone three times if he really means what he says, and he says yes every time, I have no choice but to believe that. Your constant obsession with being on what you think to be the wronged side of an issue really just sinks you time and time again.

I will never tolerate blatant racism. I will always stand up to that. If you don't like that, you can kiss my fucking ass.

If only you had as strong a crusading spirit against people who discriminate on grounds of mental disorder as you do against racism.

Anyway, Malliki, this is your notice that I'm blocking you on the forums (yes! this is an option! I'm surprised too!). I'm sick of getting "kiss my fucking ass" or "fuck off" or "stay the fuck out of this" every time I disagree with you on anything. It's not just rude, it's un-Shirerithian, and it's not what I come here for. People say I'm too tolerant of jerkish behavior? Turns out that's just in people who I don't think ought to know any better. In this case, tolerance ends now.

EDIT: Can't add moderators to foes list? &@!% that. ARI!

I don't know CJ in real life, so I can't say if his claim is true or not. To me, he is just a racist, bigot and idiot. So, please block me, I couldn't care less.

Scott... I'm sorry. I was just angry that I was in a position where my sense of "fair play" kicked in and wanted to blame you as an agent of setting it off. I'm sorry I took out my anger on you. It was unkind and unfair. I do still think you have a tendency of helping the underdog when you shouldn't. And this very well may be such a case. But I shouldn't go saying I hate you.

As for the House thing. I'm not done with it. I've just been busy with work and distractions like this issue. (Another source of irritation about it.) Though I am curious what you find anti-climactic about it.

Mike/Harvey: I guess I do owe you an apology too. I understand where you are coming from on this issue. I do believe you. I hate racism and discrimination. I fight it in my life constantly, and I would love nothing more then to deny citizenship to someone on those grounds.
But you need to understand where I'm coming from. While I'm Kaiser I have to act to make sure things are done fairly and properly. Many times I have done things on a whim and to my will, and I've payed for it every time. I've got a history and reputation that colours my choices and methods. This situation is annoyingly familiar to me.
In the chat I was starting to feel backed into a corner and like people were trying to force my hand. I had support for miller setting off my sense of fair play, and I had opposition to him setting off my desire to lash out at racism and bigotry. In the end, when I felt pushed, my sense of fair play won out. For without it, how am I any different then a racist, or a bigot. Treating people unfairly and unjustly.
I'm honestly pretty sure that you guys may be right. But you also are acting like bullies. You may feel, and be, justified in that behavior, but it's not helping your case. It just fuels my sense of Fair Play, and those that would support miller's cause. I admit I acted hastily. I've been rather stressed out lately, and a bit short of fuse. Poor Jonas had to deal with it on another issue. Maybe I need a few days off or such. I don't know. But you need to realize why I'm making the choices I am. Threats of quitting, bullying behavior and calling me names, doesn't make me conducive to supporting your cause, even if right.

As I've been cooling down I realized that I should remain open to changing my decision. At thi time I will remain by my choice, as a matter of Fair Play. But, as I've said, I still would be willing to reevaluate if given proper evidence. I would think you would wish to be given a chance if others accused you of what Miller is accused of. Realize that my choices are motivated by similar principles as your choices. We are both being men of principle on this matter.

So yes, I am sorry to all. Maybe we can try this again with a little less anger and frustration. You want Miller expelled, I want "forms to be obeyed". Present me with evidence, and we are both satisfied. I tried going through my own logs, when I've been in the chat but not around, but found nothing to support your cause. I'm sorry the hallo logs are such a hassle. Maybe we can simply download the files for the time period in question and run grep or something on them for the words Miller said.

No, I mean how some guys bring their quarrels and problems from the chat to Shireroth.

And some bring their quarrels from Shireroth to the Chat. So should we get rid of Shireroth? No. People will fight. It happens. The only difference is it can be done faster and in a more.. "personal" fashion in the chat. I've found the chat useful many times.

And, as I said somewhere else, the chat didn't create the problem. In fact, the chat helped to solve it. The chat is a useful tool. More people should go into it.

I don't care what other people do with their time, but I fully agree with the first part of that statement. :document

EDIT: And I think we have all had our say about this particular matter and consider it finished: some of us just aren't convinced by the 'good influence' the chat has, while others consider it both good as bad. Like I said: do with your spare time what you want. But if you start bullying someone on the chat (and I don't say this is such a case!), please don't bring the fight here.

Amen, brother. :thumbsup

I can't count the number of times I've written pages of drivel when I'm P.O.ed, which gets deleted before sending. Those loads of tripe would have ended up in the logs.

Now, on the other side, for those who NEED to expel their dickishness out of the site of civilization, who gives a steaming fewmet? Mayhaps t'would be though of as an off-off topic, or the back room at the pub where the knives come out.

The best way to not get caught in a fight in a seedy bar is not to go inside of the seedy bar.

While I have you here, Jacobus, could I ask you to nip over to your other country (which you appear to be president of) and take a look at this for me? I'd like to know what the deal is between this resurrection of Cyberia and Shireroth.

It took me a long time to realize it, but you don't get bonus points at the end of life for typing proper, perfect, politically correct essays your entire life. If you're deleting it before sending it, that means you WANTED to say it but you didn't. That's not healthy for you and it's not healthy for the people that you're holding stuff back from. Being pissed off is a normal part of life.

And who cares about the logs? The only people that check the logs are the people that don't go into the chat, because they can't stand that other people are talking about them but aren't willing to man up and go in themselves. It's craziness and I make no apologies to anyone that gets bothered by what the logs say when they won't show up themselves to talk to me.
