I don't know if I've been Ousted yet (I haven't seen anything saying I have) so I tacked a post onto the Census. If I missed something there, then I shall reapply for citizenship as seems to be my ongoing custom, though if at all possible I would like to avoid offices or positions from now on. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on with Straylight, but I don't think I ever changed my official residence away from there, if that makes any difference.

As some of you were aware, I was in the process of moving from Maryland to Tucson, Arizona, and that is partially to blame for me vanishing; but it... didn't work out, so I ended up moving back, which is also partially to blame. Much of the rest of the blame, I'm sorry to say, lies with me discovering Second Life while figuring out how to deal with the whole business.

I seem to be getting into an unsavory habit of disappearing and forgetting to tell anyone, for which I apologize. But I am far sorrier that I returned too late to hear of the passing of Lady Carol, who I respected greatly. Hypatia, I can only ask your forgiveness for that.

I kind of failed to get anything interesting happening in Straylight for a good while, and people were starting to talk about us having too many duchies (though they never really mentioned Straylight specifically), so I figured that now would be a good time to spend a while on another rung of the ladder. Also Scott had said he wants to be Duke of Straylight, so I made him Duke (and got a few nifty stories out of it). Other than that little is going to change and you are welcome to continue your residence in Straylight, it's just going to be a part of Yardistan now.

Fun fact - Shyraith was declared a "refs unperson" by Imperial Decree #397 but that was merely to allow Jonas to takeover Kildare, so there is no need for the spicy chicken vendor to be vaporised. For now.

It happens to everyone. I fall off the face of the earth in irregular intervals, too. (Well. Of Shireroth, anyway, my IRC home is faithfully frequented on all days I possibly can. As the only of my N communities, where N > 5.)
