With a new year...
Last night was not kind to me. While lying in bed after the new year was rung in, I tried to keep nice thoughts on my mind. Cuddling with someone I love, going on adventures, the like. Such thoughts were fleeting, however, as I could not help but dwell on the things I've done over the past year.
I hope that, with the new year, you can forgive me my faults. I'm sorry for causing so much trouble, and being so dramatic; for leaving and returning so many times; for making stupid promises I come to regret; for breaking your trust in anger and frustration. I love all of you like family. You've had a profound effect on my life, and I feel we've shared moments that have made me a better person overall. For all my failures, I hope you can grant me forgiveness so my mind might be at peace.

Corey, we love you too. No need to apologize for anything.

Re: With a new year...
I had a something similar happen to me a lot of years ago. I was all worried that I was failing all my friends and family somehow and begged their forgiveness. Turns out most of it was just in my own head.
Corey, even with the running emo and furry gags, I think you're a pretty awesome guy and it bothers me when you seem troubled by various things. I understand why you want to apologize so consider it all forgiven and wiped away. Already in the past.

Re: With a new year...
Corey, I trust your sincerity, so while what I'm going to bring out will be a bit unpleasant to you, please trust me when I say I think it's for your best. There's no particular reason I chose this line rather than any of the many similar ones, other than that it refers to something that happened after you posted this thread so we don't have to discuss whether you actually had your slate cleaned when you asked for it or not.
Completely out of context the words you typed out might have been something to the effect of "I'm gonna kill him", but you know what? Communication doesn't work like that. No, as far as I know you haven't killed anyone else over having your telephone number yet and there doesn't seem to be any reason to start now. I'm pretty sure that what you tried to say is "I'm angry at spangle"... and that what I heard was "I'm the same old Corey acting just the same way I've been acting before".
In other words... status quo.
Since no harm has been done, there's no need to apologise either now or in the future. Hell, in this case it might be that the only thing apologising does is colour your earlier (harmless to us) behaviour as wrong, so when you act the same way again you just end up feeling worse for it.
I move you try a different tactic: We have plenty of proof that you are, in fact, living in the same reality as us, and are perfectly capable of considering what consequences your actions have and how they reflect upon yourself. Well, next time you feel like blowing up and yelling at people, try doing the considering-what-you-say thing *first*. Oh, it's going to slow you down, hell, you might even lose a chance to defend yourself in time when someone actually *is* being nasty at you... but that's just how it works, you make an investment, i.e. you lose something, for the sake of a payoff. Invest your time and willpower into refraining from taking things personally, and you might just get the payoff of learning not to take things personally. Sound like a good deal?
Yeah, private discussion between you and Artz, I know, I take the responsibility for bringing this up in public. Maybe in a couple of months time you'll be considering this, or any of the other times you've blown up at people on the internet, and want to apologise or something. Well, here's the surprise advice: Don't.23:09 <@Artz1> he [Corey] said he was gunna kill josh.. I said 'don't even joke about it' he saidf 'its no joke..'

Corey, a New Year's Resolution for you. Don't go seeking catharsis off strange people on the internet.

"What is it?" asked Leo, mesmerized by the glittering substance in Allot's hands.
"It is awesomeness," said Allot. "And the Khan can never know about it."
"Awesomeness?"
"Yes... it is... his kryptonite, if you will."
