Will you please grant moderatorship over the Kildare forum to Gareth Arthur and I?
I am the new Dutch, and he is the new Steward.

Well that's different, because there it is neither dative nor accusative nor anythign else since it directly follows the copula.

Pretty sure it would be me. You wouldn't say "Please grant moderatorship to I", you'd say "Please grant moderatorship to me".

We seem to have settled that then.

While the Kaiser in his infinite wisdom is above grammar, the Payne is not. He made a grammatical fault and shall be fined 3 erbs 50, payable to the Kaiser himself.

But I was not talking about just myself, I was also talking about Gareth, so I would have to use I.
"Gareth and me" is obviously incorrect.

CORRECT:

Gareth and I ask for moderatorship.
I ask for moderatorship for Gareth and me.

INCORRECT:

Gareth and me ask for moderatorship.
I ask for moderatorship for Gareth and I.
