Lady Carol Day

I propose that we declare a day Lady Carol Day. We could go with December 13th, but perhaps another day is more fitting?

I propose her birthday (don't know the day precisely). We have to celebrate Lady Carol for who she was, remember her and mourn about her. I think her birthday would be better, as this day is filled with too much pain.

Her birthday is October 28th, 1949. This year she turned 60.

I can hardly put into words just how touching all of these responses have been. I find it very comforting to know just how much she was loved, and what a wonderful influence she was here.

I had just the same idea this afternoon. I'm glad my sentiments are not alone.

*cough* My Kaiser, perhaps you should edit your decree to read October 28th instead of December 15th? I think Jonas' statement is rather apt.

I agree with the birthday as well. While it will be a day to mourn her passing, it will also be a day to celebrate her life and the memories we had with her. I do not feel that the day she passed on is at all appropriate for any sort of expression of that kind.

That's something I'll be decreeing as a separate matter. The commemoration is to show respect on this occasion, in subsequent years Lady Carol's Day will be set on 28 October as a celebration of her life and her contributions from which we have all benefited. If that is acceptable to everyone?

I will have to edit the commemoration decree that has already been issued to specify "one time only" though.

I think that works. Mark today as a day of mourning, et all, and then officiate her birthday as an annual event.
