Re: Commonwealth Court Convention
We should also make sure we have jurists from DIFFERENT nations.

My government would be strongly against any such component being instated within the Small Commonwealth. We are interested in it as an economic organisation and a way to strengthen our relationships with its member states - we will not have any quarter with any citizens being subdued to any court which is not Pan-Micran or Ashkenatzi.

You aren't forced to join the treaty.
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Are you, by chance, Antican as well? Starting to sound like it.Aster wrote:My government would be strongly against any such component being instated within the Small Commonwealth. As Jonas says, there is no requirement to join the Court Convention. If Ashkenatza wishes to stay out of the Court, you are most welcome to do so. The Court will have no jurisdiction over Ashkenatza in that case. I suggest you read the treaties and conventions before you draw premature conclusions.

Likewise, Mr. Aster. You need to read the treaties before you get all antsy.

Re: Commonwealth Court Convention
Further discussions have been initiated in Kolmenitsky, but I doubt that the outcome will be a YEA. However, it is an intriguing proposition.

Re: Commonwealth Court Convention
Well, the rather interesting idea about this court is that nations have agreed to it (as opposed to all the other attempts to set up a UN sort of court) and have something more than just the court holding them together ... so I think it'll actually work (unlike the last however many YAMO courts). Or at least function tolerably for as long as the SC lasts.

However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Re: Commonwealth Court Convention
Stormark's legislature has passed this (5-0-2). Since the Emperor was one who voted in favor, I can safely assume he will provide his Imperial Assent. So we can officially count Stormark on board.

Re: Commonwealth Court Convention
We now have five signatory nations to this treaty (Shireroth, Stormark, Hurmu, Nelaga and Amokolia). Are we going to get this moving or what?

Re: Commonwealth Court Convention
I guess so.
Re: Commonwealth Court Convention
Batavia has also signed it (our representative is waiting for the signature of the King).
