Imperial decree 398: The End
Well, seeing that this is going to be my last decree, I might as well drop the character... I'll be speaking as ari from now on.
That experiment was fun for a while. The completely in-character kaisership worked... until I stopped feeling creative. Well, not that you need much creativity for it, but I'm the kind of guy who exhausts his pool quickly and then has to wait a looong time for it to replenish. Seriously. My cities in SC4 start with some ridiculously unique idea and run with it for as long as it takes to build it, after which they fall to patterns.
It's a shame, really, because the response was awesome. People kept making excellent throws at me that could have been spun into excellent storylines - I would have caught them except, you know, I kept trying to think of creative and unique responses and kept coming up dry... still, FWIW, I found that the separate Kaiserial persona thing did work pretty well for roleplaying purposes, especially since I had an active ministry to take care of at the same time.
So, being that the nation is getting shaken up nicely, and that it seems I'm not feeling like continuing the experiment of this kaisership, and that I promised a passive-aggressive douchebagish response to the current situation... might as well combine all of the fun in a single decree.
My word is the law, and this is decree 398: I hereby abdicate the throne of Shireroth to my trusted steward, The Khan of Vijayanagara. Long may he reign!

And another Kaiser makes it to the finishing line without being murdered. Always a joyous occasion.
Gaelen it has been a pleasure and an honour to serve your throne and as your heir I shall do my utmost to sustain the momentum that has developed in the realm and turn it towards constructive if, occasionally violent, ends.
Ari, you've been a great boss to work for. Cheers.
I'll do a more formal and in-character response later, but I am still, nonetheless, greatly honoured.

Your ex-niftiness - can you at least venture into Hell (and possibly die there, if you want) first?

Can't, need the Sword of Vengeance. I didn't exactly want travelling through Hell itself to be something that just anyone can do

Congratulations. May your reign be as ignorant of, and separate from the plebeian masses as possible.

In accordance with the prophecy! Man is that oracle good.
Congratulations, Ardy. I hope you will turn your formidable talents into a reign as impressive and interesting as that of your fellow countryman above, but without the eventual double-crossing and storming off and bad feelings.
Will have more to say during your official coronation.

I will honor the Khan during his coronation. For now, I say goodbye to Ari. You didn't help me with too many plans as Kaiser, but you sure didn't stop them either, so I'll take that as an overall win.
Good luck rechargin' the old batteries. I'm burning mine now; we'll see how far it gets me.

Monty Crisco Renews it's Rebellion against the Kaiser! And this time won't back down. Monty Crisco doesn't not support this "Kaiser" of questionable blood. With no Imperial Lineage we question his right to rule.

Brookshire as a whole joins in the Yardistani "Fuck". This just means that our conflict with the leadership of Elwynn has migrated a short distance south.
