Coronation
Clear skies and deep oceans, Shireroth.
This day and this event, that I should stand before you in this place where many have stood before and still many will stand, has been long foretold. Like Loki III, and Los II, and others before me, my ascension had already been promised and planned for long ago, yet a full Kaiser's reign would take place before that promise would be acted upon. If there had been one decision of Anandja's that should have been reversed, one iota of effort that she hadn't put in the nation that she should have, one thing that she should have done in the Shirithian spirit but didn't, my associates would have protested this delay. But the justice, the prosperity, and the niftiness of the reign of my predecessor were of the highest order, and all a Kaiser can wish for is the success of the nation. I have nothing but the greatest respect for Anandja the first, our Kaiseress, and for the nation's sake I look forward to another golden age under Grifos some time in the future.
Of my coming, there was also another promise: That which is now just called the numbers by some. I would like to assure all of Shireroth that neither the house of Ly'Technomaezj nor our associates have any special awareness of or control over the history and future of Shireroth's leadership. We do not know what kind of complex political arrangements will take place in the future, and even if we did, we certainly can't use them to define any exact time of history with a single integer. Thus what the numbers provide is less of a precise prediction and more of a reminder of how the vastness of Shirithian history far exceeds the limited time that any one of us has on this planet: There are patterns that encompass lives thousands of years, and dozens of leaders - of divine longevity - apart. Even for a nation of such stability as ours it is necessary that those patterns have exceptions and unclarities, but it is only for us that even having them in the first place is possible.
In any case, the numbers don't say who the Kaiser will be, only that zie will be of the Ly'Technomaezj bloodline - those who have compared the reigns of Mors III and IV can attest to how different Kaisers of even the same name, let alone bloodline, can be.
Although my coronation falls near the end of the Slump that so regularly afflicts us every few hundred years, and therefore the recovery of our economy and community activity is already in sight, I do not intend to leave the glory of this nation up to the completion of a pattern. Not when there are matters of importance both in the scope of the greater history and of our day-to-day life that have stood unhandled for far too long.
... however, those issues are many, and complicated. There will be a review of our history under my reign; a look back at the work at the work of Yymani Velchovion, who recently died by the hand of a deranged and very explosive BO0O/\/\ist. There will be a revivification of cartography, to once more correctly mark the work of every duchy, and this time make sure it stays consistent in the future. There will be old broken traditions fixed. There might also be some blasphemy against Malarbor.
But those are all topics for another day, as this speech tarries on already. I am got the Sword; before we can get down to business, it is time to celebrate. FREE CAKE AND HAMMERS FOR ALL!!!!

There is always hope. It's the one thing no-one has figured out how to kill yet.

Re: Coronation
Your Niftiness,
I expect a recovery of the economy in the near future, when Batavia joins the SC bank. This being said, I congratulate You and welcome Your Niftiness as new ruler of the Shirerithian lands. I pledge loyal to your mighty Throne and bow in the dust for your glory and might.

From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Your Niftiness ascends at a time when war is almost upon us. I would have you comment on this, before Yardistan throws in their lot with you.

Re: Coronation
I was going to pronounce the continuation of my rebellion against the throne.. but I'll stave that off for a moment to pronounce the awesomeness of that avatar (though I myself like Galen a bit more, but proly cause we saw more of him).

Atterock hails the Kaiser! History is on your side!
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Re: Coronation
Erik: Did you read the technomage books? It really brings that whole visit to B5 to another level of messed up-ness.

Re: Coronation
I never did read those books. Tell me about it in the Shrine. I am curious.
oh.. NOW I shall pronounce my continued rebellion.
*bows before the Kaiser*
Monty Crisco pledges itself to continued rebellion against the throne. Have a nice day.

And we'll get back to not quite suppressing your rebellion after the war. *Genuflects towards the throne.*
