I feel really conflicted

Post by Jacobus Loki »

about Jess leaving.

This community is comprised people from 14ish(?) to really old, so there is a little bit of culture warp. It works most of the time, with the really old people not stepping on the really young people. In that instance it works very well.

A certain amount of crudity and testing of limits is to be expected, but how much is too much?

Did I go overboard in the Yardistani coup? I was trying to keep it fun, to give everybody involved a chance to turn the narrative into something creative, and give us all a place to take a step back.

We left him his Barony and some place to build back from.

(Almost) Everyone here has done something dumb, and has been able to recoup and rebuild, myself more than many.

I don't think I did anything horrible, but I feel like crap anyway.

ALAS, alas.

Sic transit gloria mundi.

Oh he's just being histrionic - and we've all done that as well... no harm will come of a month or two spent in the Ocian wilderness

True, I think I might be able to teach Histrionics...........

Probably one reason I identify with the guy.

But Ocia, good gods, why a place like that!?

(whisper form offstage)

Oh. Right. Penance.

(Sigh)

Well speaking as one of the youngers of the place I have yet to see culture warp. The only age I feel that is noticeable is how long spent in the nation. So if it had been someone who was new to Shireroth then maybe it could be forgiven. Someone who has been around for 2 years should know better. You really have nothing to feel bad about.

Plus... he will return. :thumbsup

Thanks Leo.

You missed my time as "author of all evil" (according to some). ;)

I hope he comes home before we rent his room, er Barony.....

If anyone should feel bad, it should be me. I don't, but you get my point. Jess has had his slack cut for two years. The inevitable smackdown came, and he left. He is welcome back whenever he feels like it, as always.

Jake was a bit of a Johnny Depp / Jack Sparrow back in the day, and a good substitute pantomime-villain for whenever Diga was off stage. (Seriously, way before your time - don't worry about it)

Ahhh yes. Being pissed off alternately at Diga and Jacobus when I was Kaiser... :kaiser 'Twere great old days, those.

*Still wishes he had told Diga to just sod off over the Lorelei Incident... sigh.*

Lorelei... I think that was when Diga started to overreach himself and convinced a number of his subordinates that he might be bonkers.

We're lucky we aren't a democracy. In Nelaga you see the age (Jasonian age, or not) differences in the election results. :p

Your Niftyness has no reason to feel bad. The anatomical comments were out of bounds, and basically what got me PO'ed.

Yes. My good friend Tomaz Painn had a little fun with him before the end.

Maybe I should invent a fake name, join Ocia and "destroy" it. No i'll bet the Ocians (and whatever rersources SAVAK may have committed) will do that just fine.

"Where's Jess?" A (very) Occasional Series following Yardistan's Favourite *Disclaimer* Lost Soul

We find Jess today currently shamelessly ingratiating himself with his new hosts the Ocians:
I come to you today with greetings from the land across the seas and through the mountains, my homeland, Amokolia. We haven't gotten everything exactly worked out on how Amokolia will function inside Ocia but I hope that it benefits both parties and leads to a stronger Union between both parts of our great Federation. Amokolia is a peaceful and tranquil area nestled in the highlands of Benacia, and also has claims on both Automatican Islands and the northernmost part of Leng. Ocia and Amokolia have quite a bit in common. Our leaders have known eachother since before Ocia was established (UNAM) We are both mountainous people, that love their land with their whole hearts and would hate to see our people perish from Micras. We both care about our land environmentally. Amokolia does not rely on fossil fuels at all, we use electric trams all around our land. We hope we can share this innovation with our fellow countrymen in Keltic Ocia. Our respective areas share the core value of Democracy and will do anything to defend our boarders from the evil powers that lie beyond. We aren't the most respected people either, we can change that easily. We will strive to be the biggest, best, and brightest nation that ever graced the Micrasian soil. We will rise above the rest, and become one great, happy, powerful, and socialist nation! Long live Ocia!
This impassioned plea geared towards fostering greater brotherhood and an increased awareness of the viability of electric trams as an ingenious solution to the world's environmental problems has so far only been met with senseless grunts from the Ocian natives. Linguists are currently hard at work deciphering the possible meaning of "ura". We can only hope that Radchenko hasn't eaten Jess and made a drinking vessel out of his skull by the end of the week...
