Need to Know

Post by Syr William »

Is it within my power as Count of Benacia to rename the capital city of Benacia?

It is, as long as your Baroness (me) and/or your Duke (you) is okay with it.

Actually, so that you don't delete any history, you could found a new capital. That way, Port Benacia stays on the map, just not as capital. :thumbsup

Speaking out of interest as the former Count: what name had you been considering?

I had been considering the name Flotilla, because the natives used to live on boats. The city would actually be many different, large ships connected together with bridges and nets.

What do you think?

P.S. If I created a new capital, would I have to get it changed on MCS? I wanted to know because I suck at editing the Claims Map.

Sounds cool. The city would only have to be added to the MCS map, there is no actual moving of capitals on that one, since county capitals are not marked. But that is easily handled by me or someone else. Just tell us where you want the new city. :)

Oh anywhere on the Western or southern sides of Benacia would be fine. Should I make a decree changing the capital in Benacia to make it official, then?

So you'll take care of the MCS part of creating the new city?

Yep, that'll be handled. It will first be added to our version of the map, and when we have enough changes on there, we give it to the MCS.

The 'Flotilla' could have a 'permanent berth' as it were registered with the MCS as the fixed point of the capital to keep them happy, and then be free, in the Shirerithian context, to drift up and down the coast quite at will.

There is something infinitely cool about the concept of a floating city.

Also I need to add Echo as the Capital of Wintergleam and I just needed to know which map to update.
