Thoughts

Post by Jacobus Loki »

Shireroth has been without a Kaiser, for all intents and purposes, for a month.

Now if this were a constitutional monarchy, 'twould not be any big deal. So what. Many of us would be thrilled if the (President, PM, etc.) of our macronations would learn from the example of Kaiser Erasmas and speak a short sentence nine times a month.

Power, like nature, abhors a vacuum. Steward Leo is a Good Hard-Working Guy, but he seems to be letting things drift. Not horribly, but notice has been served on him by certain parties that if he attempts to use the perogatives of his office as Ruling Steward, a crap-hammer will pound him senseless. So he drifts.

Power then sinks slowly into the Landsraad. A body which means well, but needs the threat of a Kaiserial smackdown in the background for it to function at its best.

Is it time to wake up the country?

Could be.

The Line of Grifos is willing, as usual, to induce chaos.

Eh, first of all Leo is not Ruling Steward. Second, we have only informed him of the limitations and powers of his office. Stop complaining about every little thing Jake.

As for the issue at hand, I agree that this is pretty bad. Nine posts in one month by a ruling Kaiser is not good. He does make himself immune from declaring him dead in a legal way though, since he has to be absent (not post) for one full month for that. However, I doubt that his power base is strong, so a good bid to claim the throne has every chance of succeeding.

It's my job. See, in my Sig., "General Malcontent". :p

Besides, since when is commentary complaining? I'm "telling it like it is, " like we used to say in the ancient days.

Besides, a certain level of chaos gives the Arbiter (and maybe other folks) something to do.....

I'm point out that I have not been particularly active as the steward because I thought that is the role of the Steward: to keep the seat warm in effect. If Anandja turns out to have a valid claim on the throne I will support her/him? in any way possible. If not then I am more then ready to take a more active role in my office.

Milady, keep the peace and love. Let those so inclined waive the sword. Should your claim prevail, there are many here capable of so doing.

A civil war where the people with the biggest armies and the most sweet talking mouths (to convince the people with the biggest armies to side with them) is the only way to guarantee activity and a Kaiser supported by the enfranchised masses.
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

But you haven't had one yet. Not a proper war as such, anyway.

Greg, the gods have spoken. Although I respect your Yardistani rights Her Niftyness is Her Niftyness.

Of course, you can foam and froth in a corner of the country.

Like MASS.

But it is better to embrace the Love and Peace that cometh to Shireroth!

I agree! We need to slaughter each other to restore the normal kind of chaos! :demon

Ooooohhhh... I'm too late...
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki
