Regarding the Position of Steward

Post by Leo Fenrir »

People of Elwynn,

I feel that I have take the office of Steward in an unfair situation that doesn't follow the Meritocracy belief of this country. I ask the permission of the Duke to offer Rai his position back should he wish to have it. If, in the situation you don't want your position back, I will do my best to live up to the name of my office.

That is...a remarkably honorable thing to do.

I think we gave up on the gift economy way back during Kaiser Los III's reign, but it lives on in my heart. Here, have 50 :erb *gives Leo 50 :erb )

Thank you Scott. And while I don't believe a gift was necessary since these are my first erbs I will treasure them and spend them on importing more sheep. :yay:

I don't get it...

...
...
...

I quit positions because I feel I'm not qualified to fill them (and I'm not. Someone who's been in Shireroth less than a year shouldn't be Kaiser), and what I get is "STFU AND GET BACK TO WORK, DEMON EMO SPAWN OF HELL".

Scott, I blame you for this emo bullshit I've been getting recently, by the way. And I despise you for it...

The way ahead is to not give a shit... the best way to deal with critics is impalement.

Corey: Iskander fired Ric, who was known to be an excellent Steward, because Ric opposed him in the rebellion. Then Iskander replaced Ric with Leo. Leo thinks this is unfair and is willing to give Ric the position back even though Leo likes it.

There is a difference between that kind of self-sacrifice and "WOE IS ME I DON'T DESERVE NICE THINGS."

Dear Leo - this is a kind thing of you to do... But you have proved to Elwynn, and to me, to be wise and good-hearted.

Why don't you stay as steward? At least for as long as you feel you can stay true to Elwynn and do what's best here?

I have things to do... I still haven't buried Ayreon... Because I have found no one versed in Treesian rituals to give him his proper burial.

But I am happy to stay here. I've never moved from Elwynn. I have always stayed Elwynn true, from the County of Elwynn to the Duchy of Elwynn. I will continue to take my liberty to advise, stay, and be a follower of my goddess, in day and night, throughout the years.

Leo, I thank you for your gesture, but please do not step aside. Show Elwynn you can be there for her!

I agree. I wish Leo and Rai all the best in their respective homelands. Leo will certainly have a lot to do.

Well, why didn't yer say so before? Such a noble man, 'tis naw wonder they'd peel back time for yer an' send a genuine Treesian sagart from beyond the grave. Now, 'ere's what we'll do. Meet me in Cape Farewell on the feast day av Eiseamlar, an' we'll bury the auld ri by the sea. That's April 17th for ye folk.

My Sagart - thank you. Then he will be at peace, and I will, too. I will make sure he is transported from Shirekeep over to Cape Farewell in that time.
