Would you...
If your child was dying with no hope of the kid ever getting better and a vampire approached you and said he'd turn your kid into a vampire so the kid wouldn't die (and he was definitely sincere no foul play at all) would you let him?
I personally wouldn't.

I would find a wood stake and attempt to drive it though the heart of the vampire.
I would grab a handful of dark soil and throw into the face of the vampire.
I would ...
Are they afraid of the mirror?

Re: Would you...
Depends on the kind of vampire.
If it's the crazy ninja-type vampire which can run on walls (as opposed to the Count Dracula kind that sits around in castles all day), I'd be doing my kid a favour!
But then again, I'm not a parent. There's probably some kind of affection going on there which I cannot hope to comprehend.

Depends on the vampire mythos.... if it damns their soul for all time.. (and I believe in such).. no... Chances are I wouldn't.

If it were the Pratchett kind, and you could be a Black Ribboner, sure. Micronationally I *am* a Vampire.
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Re: Would you...
Reading Twilight are we *shudder* or... have we moved on to comparatively cerebral Anne Rice yet? I reckon that must be it, otherwise, if it were Bram Stoker's, sort of vampire there would be less of ethical dilemmas and more of the child being the h'ordeurve with yourself as the main course.Gilrean Treebane wrote:If your child was dying with no hope of the kid ever getting better and a vampire approached you and said he'd turn your kid into a vampire so the kid wouldn't die (and he was definitely sincere no foul play at all) would you let him?

Even vampires are becoming "civilized". What is the world coming to?

Worse they've become immortal hormonal and angst ridden teenagers... with fangs It's all about being different, not fitting and always being misunderstood by those adults/humans who just don't get it... damn it this shit writes itself... time to get Khan's Vampire Chronicles off to the publishers before the market for angst ridden blood sucking pap reaches saturation point...
