So Greg, you don't like lawyers, or vote, or orbats ... effectively you just don't like an economy, do you?
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy

And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

1- Who doesn't hate lawyers. :p (Until you need one...)

2- I don't like the voting system for so many reasons allready posted, let's not go there again.

3- Economies limit imagination to what you can 'afford'. It adds an uncomfortable spin to micronations that I would frankly not like to see expand any further.

I know at times I can sound like a stubborn (spoiled) child, but really I just don't like economies because I believe first and formost that micronations should be about fun and storytelling, more than a complete simulation. Please keep in mind I mean no disrespect to you or anyone who supports it; it's a brilliant system in theory, and you did a good job implementing it, I just disagree with your conclusions about where it will lead us.

Respectfully I disagree. Economies expand imagination to what you can think up. Everything in an economy will be what you can afford because of supply and demand.

If someone is uncomfortable with micronations economies let them take part in as little of it they want, but not prohibit or dampen those others who want to have economics.

It´s like recwar , if you don´t want recwar if it´s not for you - don´t do it.
It´s like magic, if you don´t want magic if it´s not for you - don´t do it.
It´s like roleplaying, if you don´t want roleplaying if it´s not for you - don´t do it.
It's like storytelling, if you don't want storytelling if it's not for you - don't do it.
It's like sports, if you don't want sports if it's not for you - don't do it.
It's like micronational Universities -
It's like cultural forums -
It's like a feudal system -
It's like foreign relations -
It´s like any idea that comes along, if you don´t want it if it´s not for you - don´t do it.

Just don´t make it impossible for others to have recwar, magic, roleplaying, economies, storytelling .......
I just don't like economies because I believe first and formost that micronations should be about fun and storytelling.
There are those who find storytelling fun.
There are those who find roleplaying fun.
There are those who find magic fun.
There are those who find recwar fun.
There arold closed Phoenix Forest??????

Yes Iskander, that's quite detailed enough (though some of that I think's been paid for ... fairly sure the Oracle has, at least).

Sure, but let's turn that around. By an economic system being implemented as law, I have to participate or suffer (I have to buy votes or my say is negligable). So either I suffer and let you do what you want, or you suffer and I get to do what I want. Who is more important?

However, we are talking about abolishing the Vote credit system. Thus you get what you want. What we are asking in return, is an alternate system.

As long as you keep doing what you already do and enjoy Greg, you will keep getting bounties, in effect, nothing for you will change.

Gman - I can see your point for the vote credit economic system, but not Orbat or the economic system using MITO resources. I can also see the other side - those who say if you do more in Shireroth you earn more money and thus are able to buy more votes ... thus those who do more have more say. I also see your point that if you have to spend your money on votes you can´t spend it doing other things - likes Sports or Orbat or professions.

I´ve already posted my thoughts on the vote credit system - I think the Dukes should sell their vote secretly to the highest bidder and profit themself so we can have true corruption. Catching the corrupted and m to court could be a lot of fun. Can you imagine the accusations and incriminations flying around? We might need police and a jail along with the courthouse.

If you haven´t read my ideas on feudal succession you should - wow, what a read!

That's one of the problem with this issue. All arguments are more or less valid, it comes down to personal views and ways of doing things.

Gman, the compromise on the table is to ditch the vote credit system for a 1 vote per duke system. In exchange, other forms of economic system will be pursued.

I'm pretty sure as is stands a vote to change the procedures will pass, if you are willing to compromise.

We all want Shireroth to be fun. We just are looking to maximize the fun. We don't want to disenfranchise you.
