Oh, thanks
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Nah... it was your status as the leader of Nelaga, and lack of governmental position here that kept you out.

boo! Let him in anyway!
What follows has lead me to this place where I belong, with all erased.

This is a surprise. I always thought I was the Aye-man.
But thanks, Your Niftiness.
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Do Kaisers usually have an advisory council, or is this a one-off?
If they don't, I'm surprised... must be a useful thing to have

The Imperial Advisory council isn't new. It was created by His Niftiness Kaiser Raynor XI in 2004.Maksym Hadjimehmetov wrote:Do Kaisers usually have an advisory council, or is this a one-off?

I'm not surprised that you're surprised. Not many kaisers had Imperial Advisors.

Re: Imperial Decree #357: Imperial Advisory Council.
It tends to be a tradition of my Kaiserships, but some other use it too. It dates back to summer 2004 when we had a lot of political turmoil, so I made the council to help advise me on matters. Initially it was 1 Yes-Man, 1 No-Man, and 1 Maybe-Man. The logic being that is I had one person who agreed with me on things, I could have someone to bounce ideas off of, and the no-man was someone who was basically of the opposition, to help me see the other side of view. The Maybe-man was the moderate in terms of Shireroth politics.
I felt this combo would help meet rule better, and step on less toes. I think it was effective. It's good to bring potentially controversial ideas to the Council. It's also a place where the Kaiser can discuss controversial ideas in private away from the public who might get made at the very idea itself.
My rule for the council is anything said in there, stays in there. Advisers are encourage to point out things, disagree, even tell me I'm being a fool. But I do require civility.
If Loki III had used a IAC... I thinks things would have been a lot different.
