THEREFORE: Greg Russell will be Duke of Yardistan, and I will return to my post as Baron of Absentia;

ALSO: Baroness Gilrean Treebane of Absentia has already consented several times to finding a replacement for her;

I'm glad you worked out a deal that you both find agreeable.

However, if I wanted to be a citizen of Yardistan, there was a lot of time before now to become one. I will not revoke my citizenship from Shireroth, but I do revoke my residence in MASS; as far as I'm concerned, I joined the duchy, and if the duchy doesn't exist, than neither does the place I joined. So I'll be in a residenceless limbo, perhaps indefinately.

I was the one who you named as heir, I've been the oldest constantly active citizen of Yardistan and this is ridiculous. So if I rebeled my Barony I'd get the position as duke. Find a solution, or I'm leaving.

It is beneficial because Prodigy let go of a ducal throne he wasn't using, opening Yardistan to a duke who might do something. To whom he gave it is not my concern. Either Jess or Greg would have been better, and it was honestly his choice as the previous Duke to choose who succeeds him.

I think you misunderstand this (that or I do). I thought one of the conditions of Gman becoming Duke of Yardistan was that MASS became a county again, not a second Duchy. (though if I were he I'd bump it up to Barony status and make each island a separate county, but that's just me)

Jess, I know you're upset, but it was this or Shireroth (apparently) becomes embroiled in a rather serious civil war. Not once, but twice, I saw remarks of secession from other duchies, and the nation was splitting rather evenly over this matter. However, it hasn't changed that you are the heir to the ducal throne whenever Greg gives up - or, more appropriately, gets bored of - the ducal throne.

That said, Long Live Yardistan! I agree with this. I abstain to comment on its legality. I want to see MASS and Yardistan as one, no matter what it takes.

Prodigy, you were a good Duke for one so inactive. I am still very proud of having chosen you over Jess as my successor, you two being the two main candidates at the time. I hail you as a great Duke who made a painful decision. I personally would not have done this myself, because I am a weaker man than you and I would have caved due to arrogance and pride, leading me to remain on as Duke and lead Yardistan Duchy to utter ruin. Kudos, Dux Emeritus!

Now onto the present. Greg!! I knew this day would come in my lifetime! Not so soon I thought it would come, sure, but here this joyous day is nonetheless. Good luck as Duke. I beg you to lead Yardistan to glory out from the process of being transforming festering cesspit of nothingness like all the other Duchies which I personally instigated as Duke. Might I humbly advise the Duke to issue a decree granting Prodge the rank of Dux Emeritus in the Order of Mischievous Intent, which he is entitled to (under my law, yours of course may differ and may extend to the abolition of the OMI, which would make me sad).
