In Memory of Kaiser Mors V

[Kaiser Loki III]

As we stand here today, safe, secure, and the most powerful nation on Micras, I ask you all to remember how near a thing it was.

The nation was floundering. Even the most stalwart citizens were in doubt. National treasures were being exported to save them from dissolution. Letifer III was dithering.

Shireroth stood on the brink of nothingness. In desperation, Mahamantot the Kindhearted declared himself Kaiser, and locked Letifer away in the palace. Assistance was coming from many quarters, but slowly, and many Shirithians and many in the communities of micronationry saw anything other than the weak Letifer as a coup. The reign of Mahamantot stood on the brink of collapse. Foreigners eyed our lands and legacy lustfully.

But the gods chose to smile upon Shireroth! Out of the shadows, the Line of Mors brought forth a claimant. Not as kind as Mahamantot, but prepared and forthright, he strode into the hiding place of the disgraced Letifer III and slew him in hand-to-hand single combat.

He declared himself Kaiser Mors V. He dealt justly and mercifully with the opponents of Letifer. He re-established the Landsraad, appointed Dukes, and the nation began to recover.

As a very old man, he was on his way to the Landsraad, to restore the Charter. His small guard was ambushed by crazed democrats. His guard was overcome, and after slaying six of the wretches himself, he fell beneath the traitors swords.

At this time, let us remember Mors V, the Renewer, the Restorer!

His name shall forever be in Sakat's books.

I believe something cool and lasting should be named for him.
