Unknown. On one of the island in the main Khaz Modan chain. There are some myths that the island that housed the capital actually sank when the empire collapsed. The collapse occurred in less then 2-3 years by various historic accounts. Some have the collapse happening in one day as a mass catastrophe destroyed many of the cities of the empire, trade and communication routes, mass population loss..etc. Cedrist myth says that the demon Rrakanychan was some how summoned by a group known as the Elemental Mages, and that he went on a rampage and killing spree, like demons will do. This is why in Cedrist dogma and much of Shireroth's history anything resembling "arcane" magic has been feared and denounced. Much of this was propagated by the mysterious group known as the Technomages, said to have opposed the Elemental Mages in the old Empire, and being the only organized group to survive The Cataclysm. They went into hiding from that point on.
Actually, that story hold a LOT of information, even I forgot. It is Canon. And one might ponder if their is a link to the technology lost by the empire and civilization, and the prowess of Straylight in that field.
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

The capital would certainly be in the island chain.

Would it be a problem if I invent a story about the 'Batavian Khaz Modans'? As we know our first kaiser is a descendant of this noble people. The Windsor / Win'Eth dynasty, however, appears out of nothing. So I want to explain how Mahamantot had the right to claim the throne.
When the Khaz Modan Empire was falling apart, the Khaz Modans who lived on the eastern Regenteneiland became more independent and got the freedom to explore more to the east. A local prince decided to travel around the coastline to conquer new areas. However, the expedition failed and he decided to go further inland. He sailed inland by the Irrel River and finally ended up at where now stands the city of Davignon. Tired of travelling, and without enough supplies, he decided to stay. He would become the first Windsor.
Thousands of years later, one of his descendants discovered this story and decided to travel back to Shireroth. This person became the founder of the Win'Eth dynasty.

I would prefer if you claimed off one of the Imperial Bloodlines. There is supposed to be certain symbolism that Raynor is an heir of the old Empire. If you also claim lineage, not through Raynor, to that lineage, it kinda messes things up.
There aren't any other secret directories under the /apollostates/ site other than /SAtlas, are there? Lucky you posted this map, otherwise that whole directory would have been missed by Dr Spangle's Geocities backup.

And what if... the Win'Eth dynasty, after returning to Shireroth and ending up in Kildare, get connected by a marying with a descendant of Raynor? Then they I have my story, and the Win'Eth dynasty is also descending from Raynor.
