A Shirereithan Railway system...
Who wants to help me design one?

Re: A Shirereithan Railway system...
There is an Elwynnese railway system covering most of the land east of the river Elwynn
I'll see if I can find you some maps
Re: A Shirereithan Railway system...
The Lamifo Corporation, which hasn't begun operations yet but is in the transportation business, would like to traffic that railway system, and would also like to contribute in the planning phase.

Re: A Shirereithan Railway system...

Musica might take note of the line that goes to the border, but does not cross and link to the city. This can be fixed if there is permission.
Re: A Shirereithan Railway system...
You have permission, if we can get the same permission to link our (soon to be) railway system to yours in Caverden or Woodshire? BTW, where did you get that map?

I made various duchy maps a while back based on the counties map that is floating around.

The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:
Cla'Udi - Count of Melangia
Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Re: A Shirereithan Railway system...
... you guys sure of that? I mean, I'm not that concerned, you can build your railways anywhere you like and say it's fine, and it'll be fine with me, but the way I always thought of Benacian landscapes was theMCS physical map. On that map, the railway coming from Woodshire Village climbs up to the central ridge of the Crestfallen mountains and stays there all the way to Rhodondra:

The way I think of Benacia, when you go down south from Shirekeep, you're going to see some mighty big mountains along the way in Caverden before you come down the slopes in Shimmerspring and Crestfall Downs. I can imagine climbing a tower in the north of Shirekeep and seeing foothills rise before the Balor mountains in the north. I can imagine taking a trip on the serpentine roads south of Woodshire Village. I can imagine small mountain passes with roads passing through them all along the Medivh mountains - or maybe a larger pass somewhere that a railroad could puncture the chain in (perhaps in Highpass?). What I *can't* get myself to accept is a railway that actually seems to prefer running along the mountaintops

Re: A Shirereithan Railway system...
Now, Ari made a good point here... a point which I never had in mind when I designed the Elwynnese railway system.
Anyway - here it is (uhm yes, Elwynn owned all that land at that time

Re: A Shirereithan Railway system...
Grand.
I have permission to build at least one line through K'Tzuni as well. Perhaps the combined system should be renamed the South Benacia Railway System or something similar?

Re: A Shirereithan Railway system...
Hey, why do you get ownership of the part of the line that crosses Alexandretta to get to Musica?
Perhaps we should create a joint company to control the whole system in Brookshire. We can still distinguish the lines, but control the whole system with one company, or at least the parts we control. A partnership?
Also, I need to add a city to the end of the Caverden line called Citadel.

Hmm... 50/50 co-ownership between Lamifo Corp. and whatever you'll call your parent company? Suggestion for a name... Benacia Rail Systems Ltd.? BRaS...

What about a narrow gauge scenic railway for part of that stretch? It could also service mining interests. On that map, the railway coming from Woodshire Village climbs up to the central ridge of the Crestfallen mountains and stays there all the way to Rhodondra:

Remember, the Laqi coastline is also highly important due to the location of various ferry links to the old Khaz-Modan isles.
