I am pleased.

Post by Erik Mortis »

I must say, I am pleased with the general state of Shireroth. We have functioned and prospered in the last many months, with all governmental, economic and social systems functioning and working. When we have had a crisis or problem, the nation as a whole has been able to resolve said problems without need of outside intervention. New and interesting ideas are constantly being put forth and at least given some semblance of a chance.
The Sword of Vengance has passed honorably from Kaiser to Kaiser, as it always does, and now is in the safe-keeping of a Steward, awaiting the return of the Kaiser to the Throne. Such historic days and times we live in. With an elected Steward, a rare event indeed. More proof that the systems we have can function and make sure that we always have a steady and righteous hand at the helm of the nation.
We have a economic system that is both interesting and showing signs of functionality. With a working banking system, and a reason for the acquisition of wealth. We have talked of expanding this system to include other nations, and have even talked about creating a commonwealth of nations which I still feel would be interesting if we can find a means to implement it.
On any given day we have a myriad of posts, in many forums.. A plethora of activity in our great empire.
And we have many friends abroad, on whom we look kindly, such as our close allies in Babkha. As I write this we have treaties before the Landsraad, extending the hand of Shireroth in friendship and recognition to other nations. It would seem, gone are the days of Shireroth's complete isolation in the international world at large.
Immigration has been active: we have lost a few, and they have diminished and saddened us with their loss, but also have we gained many, in their turn enriching us as a nation, and bringing with them new ideas and strength.

Indeed, this is a great and prosperous time for Shireroth. And I am overjoyed to be present for it. Keep up the good work my friends. The gods are surely with us now, and in all times.

...This isn't a prelude to you leaving, is it...? :no

But I agree. This is nice and peaceful. Just the kind of reign I like. :thumbsup

They will return! :document
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

I was actually looking for my Matrix rip-off post, but apparently Novatainia isn't searchable on Google, so it wasn't worth it. :P

Just after the climax there's the anticlimax. Get ready for times of misery and a lack of prosperity, brought to you by Steward Corey. :demon

On the downside, while I've not done anything any other ruling steward hasn't done, things seem to now considered illegal. Double standard? :document

I decreed all over the place as Steward. If anything is "illegal", it will be "legal". (Sharpens quill pen.)
