Right, we're getting nowhere. And one of the particular problems is because about half the dukes don't care either way, and the other half have very strong opinions but aren't sharing them. I've tried arguing with those who are arguing and making concessions for Scott, Erik and Mike. Erik and Mike don't seem to like halving bounties or ten timesing the economy to make individual erbs worth less, and Scott sees it all as pointless but not destructive. And apparently others have strong views that aren't even getting accomodated. So can everyone just post here what THEY want, clearly, and not with ambiguous phrases like "devaluing the erb" which I took as "increasing the amount in circulation so an individual erb is worth less" and apprently should have been taken as "making government bounties worthless."
I want:
The mistake with paying Harold resolved (it was only tolerable on the grounds that, over a year or so, it would even out with everyone else getting paid, and now people want to take the payment away), and then payments for positions removed.
An economy operating close to capacity so that the amount of money in circulation doesn't change a great deal, and governments can't just print more (or spend more) when they run out - they have to tax. (that is, if 50 000 is printed, 45 000 is circulating around the economy most of the time).
Bounties being high enough that there's actually a point to earning them (as they do develop Shirithian culture considerably), though they can be lower than they currently are.
Not having an insane amount of money around (that is, anything over 50 000) so that the economy retains the charm of not having 100 000 + in circulation like ever other micronational economy, and having to add three 0s to anything to make it worthwhile.
No enforced budget or spending beyond that of 'the Crown account has this much, you can spend no more without taxing'.

I want:
Good bounties for actually doing something. Upping the citizenship bounty from 50 to 250 in nominal value for doing nothing is bad in my book. The bounties that should be looked at, if any at all, are those we get for doing something.
Having enough money so that we are all willing to spend tens of Erbs for almost anything. That will make the money go round. As it is now, 1 Erb is too valuable, both as money and as a vote.
Individual budgets for the government departments to use, for bounties for example. The MiniInt handles bounties in his field etc. The Arbiter pays me my bounty-salary. Etc.

Oh, and we also have to define 'inflation'. As far as I'm concerned, it comes from increasing the amount of money in circulation. A one off *10 is fine, as long as its one off. But if we slowly increase the amount in circulation over time, that's going to produce inflation and thats what I disagree with.

100,000 erb in the entire bank.
Bounties staying the same size they are now.
More bounties given out for work, in order to get the money out there and moving
A stated rate of what "minimum wage" for an hour of work is worth in erb.
Salaries and wages for government workers.
Budgeted money for Ministries/government bodies.
Government bodies, ministries, Subdivisions having accounts they can use to pay from, instead of people's personal funds.
Regular Taxes.

So wait ... Erik, you want bounties at 0.02% of total erb votes? You want a 20 fold decrease in bounty size? The way it sounds, you want citizenship bounty high, actual bounties so miniscule as to be totally worthless ... and Mike wants citizenship bounty so miniscule as to be worthless, and actual bounties reasonable ....
Right. Simple solution - Hesam's. We pass the bill without defining bounties ... and subcontract it out. Then you guys can argue over it and see how hard it is
