My good *disclaimer* Minister,
I am further pleased to announce great progress in the afore-hinted Gaelen programme. Gaelen is an early warning satellite equipped with monitoring devices capable of detecting a rocket launch or nuclear detonation anywhere within its field of vision. Gaelen One is currenly in a low Micras orbit:

When the lessons of its launch and operation have been absorbed, the SDI project shall work on achieving a microsynchronous/microstationary orbit from which it is possible to observe an entire hemisphere at a time.
This represents the first orbital mission conducted under the SDI banner, and with the development of the OLV 1 launch vehicle comes the ability to put anything the Minister wishes anywhere on Micras... whether it be crate of lawnmower parts, a tub of horse manure, or an atomic warhead. I hope as always that this latest progress of the SDI project, into which you have invested so heavily, meets with your satisfaction.
