Reports of my death...
...have been greatly exaggerated.
Sorry, folks, was distracted by the City of Bethlehem's beer and music festival and that was followed by catch-up at my macronational job and then a LOA as my Windows operating system suddenly balked at opening any sort of file. (It apparently repaired itself, which I find VERY, VERY odd, so DO subject any email from myself through some sort of kick-butt virus detector.)
I do (IMHO) have some interesting things to share (tid-bits read on the internet and such) and plan to share them later this week.

"Death" in Shireroth is relative.

You've figured out the chemistry between Mike and myself... Virtual, trans-Atlantic sex across about five time zones
But, seriously, I don't need that... real life suffices.
To steal from Jack LaLanne, I'm 54, overweight and out of shape (unless you consider "round" a shape) and still manage to have sex almost every night.
I almost have sex on Monday, I almost have sex on Tuesday, I almost have sex on Wednesday, etc...

A circle is not a shape, although, a sphere is.

I'm not sure what they're teaching you these days, but back in my day:
a) A circle was a shape.
b) Pluto was a planet.
Those of us born in the more gentle age of yesteryear cling to these preconceptions as to a liferaft. Please do not disabuse us of them.

Re: Reports of my death...
Pluto was never a planet. A planet is a celestial body orbiting a star or stellar remnant that is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity, not massive enough to cause thermonuclear fusion, and has cleared its neighbouring region of planetesimals. Pluto never was that.

I think it only fails that last one, considering Chiron...

"A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day! And if the battle lasts through tomorrow, it's not that day either! It may or may not be the day after that, I'm not sure. Still too early to tell. But in case it's not that day, or it is that day, but the battle is already over so it doesn't matter, I want you to remember this!"
