The appearance of cat pictures is on a par with mentioning the Nazis as a sign that any meaningful discussion is now over. :smashy

I'd like to add to your list:

- The "Communism Works In Theory" discussion.

- The Muslim vs Christian discussion

- The "did you hear about [POP-CULTURE ITEM]?" discussion

- The "Oh we did that years ago and with much more style/ability/originality" discussion

This extends to people who agree that science is truth and religion is false, but are arguing over which of these two is more wrong.

Yes I'd have to say the "Science vs Religion" argument is also on this list. Simply because it's so completely ridiculous it cannot even be given justification by being argued.

Two Christian missionaires are on the sahel when they are surprised by a large lion. Their terror recedes as they see the lion in what they think is a position of prayer.

"We are saved!" says one missionairy to the other, when they hear the liuon growling, "Father bless this bounty that I am about to receive......"

Yes, it seems to depend on someone's perspective, doesn't it?
