Bye Nate! Have fun everywhere else.
Vilhelm von Benkern - The Dolphin-...Count
:: Formerly just "benkern"
:: Rook Sentry of the Order of the Vorpal Blade
:: Count of Mar Sara IIRC
:: Former Baron of Absentia AFAIK, before that Baron of Vorpmadal TBH; also Former Duke of Yardistan IMHO
:: Dux Emeritus of the Order of Mischievous Intent
It takes moo to mango!

From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

We've been over this - even from the Lokista perspective (Jacobus abdicated in favour of Erik, Erik abdicated in favour of Ric) Ayreon is Kaiser.

http://shireroth.kuroshiro.net/forum/vi ... f=1&t=8563I take the throne as Kaiser,
I name Ric my Heir.
I abdicate as Kaiser.
The claims are now consolidated.
Have a nice day.
Get over it...

Re: Emigration: Nathan Shepard
A certain amount of duress was involved.
Let's say that I do not contest the fact that the very kind individual sits on the throne and, as head of the current regime, exercises Kaiserial power within Shireroth at the current time.
Further, that I choose not to contest such at this time that the nation might live in peace.
Further, I intend to apply to re-activate my citizenship in a non-micras MN, which will for a time make me ineligible to serve as Kaiser (unlike other that I could mention).

Jacobus speaks the truth but I am starting to worry about Jonas' understanding of the word 'lie'.

It's not a lie though, regardless of the relative injustice - it happened.

No Erik will judge. As in he did judge. Thus the reason why this debate is almost as ridiculous as that van dyke The Emperor is wearing in your avatar.

Erik as Arbiter offered an opinion. Erik as count did the peaceful and popular thing at the time. All well and good.
Courts used to approve of things like slavery when it was "legal". I was speaking about history, the grand sweep of it.
Unless you are discussing Erik as the Founder and Soul of Shireroth, which is a totally different matter, one for the gods to ponder from on high, and far beyond our pettiness.

Yes but whether posterity condemns, condones or even remembers these events does not decract from the 'actuality' of the events that occurred, as summarised in that quoted statement of Erik's.Erik as Arbiter offered an opinion. Ah, an event may be "real" but false. Maybe that it the difference in interpretation, the difference between "lie" and "false".Yes but whether posterity condemns, condones or even remembers these events does not decract from the 'actuality' of the events that occurred, as summarised in that quoted statement of Erik's.

Point taken but in this instance it is neither a lie nor is it based on an erronious assumption.
