Imperial decree no 292
IMPERIAL DECREE
I have reflected upon this and I feel that tradition holds that it is the Kaiser who appoints his steward. Therefore I have decided to appoint Lord Elwynn as my Steward on an interim basis.
Lord Elwynn is a successful and effective politician who has been a friend of mine for several years.
I recognize that in the Shireroth of today we have many citizens whose qualities are shining and who I believe will gain the chance of governance for this Empire later on. But in the event of any unforseen eventuality, I feel it is best that my steward is someone I have known for a long time, and that is Lord Elwynn for now. As I'm getting to know the various leaders in Shireroth, I will certainly consider them as replacements when the time comes.
Signed by my hand,
Ayreon
Kaiser of Shireroth

Re: Imperial decree no 292
It actually kinda saddens me that you took this chance away from the Landsraad to do something of this importance. It's been a while, if ever, since it elected a steward.
Re: Imperial decree no 292
It saddens me he everytime is changing from toughts
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

I think Lord Kildare is trying to express that every time the Kaiser all of a sudden changes his mind it causes Lord Kildare to be sad in the sense of being disappointed by the Kaiser's behaviour.

Re: Imperial decree no 292
I suspect His Imperial Niftiness is trying to break the record for most decrees issued under one Kaisership, by repeatedly declaring and repealing a single decree

Re: Imperial decree no 292
In fairness this is not the repeal of a decree but rather the correction of a non-binding informal decision with a decree.

Come on, Erik! There's only nothing for the Landsraad to do if you believe so. Let's find some Lawbook corrections to pass!
Vilhelm von Benkern - The Dolphin-...Count
:: Formerly just "benkern"
:: Rook Sentry of the Order of the Vorpal Blade
:: Count of Mar Sara IIRC
:: Former Baron of Absentia AFAIK, before that Baron of Vorpmadal TBH; also Former Duke of Yardistan IMHO
:: Dux Emeritus of the Order of Mischievous Intent
It takes moo to mango!

How about the Landsraad passes an act requiring all citizens to wear silly hats while accessing the forums. It would be based on the honour system. Or the Landsraad could vote on Shireroth's favorite cheese.

I won't stand for you insulting silly hats. If you were more of a gentleman, I was less of a coward, I would challenge you to a duel Sir,

And I promised Baron Jess on the Musica thread that I would fight a duel against anyone who insulted Baron Erik's honor. So now you have two duels. Or one two-on-one duel.

Yvain, you can be Erik's second. Fighting on his behalf would be an insult to his honour and mine. However, feel free to parlay with Ardy.

Gentlemen I suggest that we do this in style. I propose that each party to this duel and their seconds bring fifty men a piece, each equiped with blunderbus and machette to the Mattlore Devious thingy and there for honour proceed to slaughter each other.
