Imperial decree no. 290
IMPERIAL DECREE
I hereby establish a Council for Imperial Administration. The Council shall be composed of all ministers of the Empire, the Kaiser, and any steward that the Kaiser has appointed.
The Council is formed to make sure all ministries follow kaiserial directives, for it to discuss matters relevant to the Empire and other matters deemed relevant to the Kaiser, and to advise the Kaiser on the State of the Empire.
I direct the Minister of the Interior to establish a closed forum for the Council for Imperial Administration.
Signed by my hand,
Ayreon
Kaiser of Shireroth

Re: Imperial decree no. 290
Why would we need/want such a place? I prefer the government being open... other wise well... seems a bit non-shireroth to keep it all locked up. We have secret forums already...

It's to discuss sensitive issues that could potentially hurt our citizens if they were open.

As if we want to discuss IPs, ISPs, etc.
But fine, it can be open if that's what people want.
Anyway, the Council will exist whether open or not for the ministers to discuss and cooperate among one and another.

To be fair SEP is a bit odd in who is allowed and who isn't.

Re: Imperial decree no. 290
Do we really need another layer of bureaucracy? I mean, if the Ministers are discussing something in public, why not let everyone else join in and point out things the Ministers might have missed? And if you're going to do that, why not just use the Kaiser's Court or the General forum?
On a personal level, I hate it when micronations discuss things in closed rooms that they could discuss in the open (ie everything except security issues). It makes it harder for outsiders to see what's going on and makes casually browsing the micronational world less enlightening.

Another useles council?
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

All I wanted was a forum for the ministers to talk together. This isn't a conspiracy to make Shireroth all bureaucratized

Re: Imperial decree no. 290
Well it should! Then we could all get in a huff about it and yell and scream....!!!!!!!!!
Re: Imperial decree no. 290
I don't like it when people talk about stuff on secret forums. It creates less trust between the citizens and divide them (however we are an absolut monarchy, we are relatively open to anyone).

Like I said, it won't be secret anymore...
Ah well, I'll just scrap this.

Re: Imperial decree no. 290
You could always activate the IAC... It was basically the same thing, but smaller and more personally for the Kaiser. And it was secret. To allow the members to say ANYTHING without insulting any one. The yes man, the no man and the maybe man... the traditional composition.

Re: Imperial decree no. 290
That might be an idea to pursue.
Re: Imperial decree no. 290
I thought about it too, it's a good system and already exists (so no new council needs to be created).

If you're starting to feel like you just can't do anything right, come to Brookshire sometime and we can commiserate with each other.
