Stuff
Erik has abdicated his Jacobite claim to the throne in favor of Ayreon, thus unifying the two Kaiserial claims and restoring peace to the realm though some people don't see it that way). All hail Kaiser Ayreon I! The new Kaiser has placated his enemies (and irked his friends) by "requesting" Duke Hasan's abdication as ruler of Elwynn. The Duchy will now be ruled...ugh...I can't believe I'm saying this...Duke Ardashir. Gods help them.
Did we just get FIVE citizens in ONE WEEK? Praise be to Biternion, god of improbability; it looks like we did! Aside from Mike Fors and Bill Bekkenhuis, who are practically old friends by now, Steven Foong has joined the Morovian wave...or exodus...or DELUGE. And Liam, or should I say Oroigawa-san, brings us Lady Gilrean Treebane (who is Aragorn's mother) and, through her, the...exotic-looking Lectriece Hafirni. Don't bother demanding that they move to your Duchy, other people have already beaten you to it. Welcome to Shireroth, Steven, Gilrean, and Lectriece! Check out the Guide for the Perplexed, enjoy our fertile lands, incomparable community, and insane culture...MALARBOR DEMANDS IT!
Other things of note: Mike Fors has sparked revived interest in the Shirerithian law system, and Hypatia's Mom has cleverly foiled a double login infiltration attempt by Jess of Amokolia.

What a CHAOS!
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Re: Stuff
Malarbor briefly protested the lack of HTML on these forums by speaking in HTML instead of BBCode. Luckily, I convinced him to express his anger through different avenues, and the box should look okay now.

Re: Stuff
The foiling was a matter of my thinking the onscreen name seemed strangely American slang for a supposed non-native English speaker, plus the Kaiser and Oroigawa Koreyasu checking IP addresses and finding out that this was a double-log-in with fraudulent information, and an unqualified applicant who was already a member.

Re: Stuff
Is Jess going to be punished - at all - for this?
Re: Stuff
As far as I know, unless the Kaiser issues a penalty, any prosecution on part of the Judex would have to be a common law one, since no law specifically prohibits this type of "double immigration". I don't know if there's any precedence, the Arbiter can elaborate further on that.

Re: Stuff
I shall investigate options.
[Edit] The most sensible in this instance being to just make sure that there is no recurrance by changing the law to make it an offence.
