The "friendly nations" dropdown

Post by Ari Rahikkala »

What do you think? I came up with it because of the matter of Maraguo - people wanted a link to it in the Malarbar, but the Malarbar link list is used for Shirithian and intermicronational links, not Batavian ones. So, I figured, we used to have this thing called ezRings once - why not link to all of our friends right there in the Malarbar? Input is welcome.

Changes to come: I'm going to be asking the MiniEx to decide on some foreign policy and tell which nations should be in the list and in which order - right now it's just the ones listed in the state of foreign relations thread, minus the ones that have died (i.e. the Matbaas). Also, I'm going to try to style it so that it's got the same text size and colour as the rest of the Malarbar links...

Very useful! Thanks! :thumbsup

Is order really that important? I personally like alphabetical. Easier to find what you're looking for ;)

Depends on how many nations you want there, but of course, alphabetical is good :)

This is, like always, very useful! :)
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Useful indeed... I've had a hard time navigating round micronations since my return. All the usual channels I used 5 years ago have dried up :p

Of course, for the times when the dropbox isn't enough, there's dr-spangle's forum list :).

CURSE YOU, ARI! The difficulty of finding other forums without any bookmarks was the only thing keeping me from wasting even more of my time going and posting there!

Looking more closely:

CIS and both Cyberias are dead and not worth it.

Toketi and Novatainia, despite being in Gralus, have some good activity at their own boards, and are sometimes worth checking, especially since it very often involves Shireroth, although all the Gralan states follow confusing philosophies of forum management where you can never tell what's the general and what's the off-topic and they're usually hidden in the middle of a lot of provincial boards.

Well, if you go to Toketi, just expect everything to be off-topic (except a select few forums where it is strongly advised you don't SPAM).

And Novatainia has a lot more provincial boards than Toketi. Toketi is a lot more other things to do. If I had to suggest one, go to Toketi. Novatainia is just plain confusing...:P

The CIS isn't really dead, apparently it's just the summer exam lull.
