Let's take a time-out

Post by Ari Rahikkala »

OK? I close down the forum from posting for 30 minutes. The arguing parties who seem to be getting progressively angrier relax and go for a walk or something. Unless someone comes up with a really good argument why I shouldn't do this within the next five minutes, posting.php will be moved off somewhere else and a short walk or something will be recommended for everyone who's been posting furiously lately.

I'm stuck at work for 21 hours without overtime and this is the most interesting thing I've done all day. How's that for a reason?

Then spend the time researching and reasoning out some really good speech that will convince everyone you're right :)

I just paid 20 shekels for an hour on the Internet (of which I already used half trying to understand the recursive justification post on OB), and this is my only chance to post here today without paying 20 more shekels, which is a ridiculous price?

Arbiter picks Kaiser, MiniInt chooses forum opening times... Must make a note of these.

You can't scare sense into people, just out of them. ;)

I'm taking a timeout myself instead. I don't seem to deal well with controversy in Shireroth anymore these days. See you in three days. Jonas, I'll put up your site and email you the link.

Help me out, this means nothing to me...

You cannot close down the forums.... (well you can, but you shouldn't)

But people do need to calm.

I have a real business to run. I'm taking at least four hours to do that.

I ask my supporters to watch things in the meantime.

Wow, I come back after a few hours spent with houseword, friends and sleep, and this happens?

OOOOK.... I never wanted things to heat up so much that people would actually feel about it. Oh ... Bugger :(

Or sooner, I guess. When I say "everyone, stop taking this as such serious business" I mean "ari, stop taking this as such serious business". This confusion of politics, socialization and roleplaying is making me unstable, I'm not used to seeing it in Shireroth :(.
