Firefox 3 haet Shireroth
Firefox 3.0_rc3/Linux seems to have some major problems rendering and scrolling the forum on the malarbor style. It's not quite unusably slow on my box, but it's... *annoyingly* slow. Removing the background image seems to help. If you're going to use Firefox 3, you might want to try switching to the new_malarbor style, which is the same as malarbor except with a black forum background. I'll see if I can do anything to keep the forum rendering nicely on FF3 with the background image included, but I can't promise anything...

It might just be my ancient hardware, then... anyway, if nobody else is having problems, and I'm happy with my backgroundless style, I'll not invest my time in this for now...

I hate the new firefox. I don't like how the navigation bar drop down has changed, I don't like the new "look" and... yeah. mostly it's the nav bar drop down that's pissing me off. I want it to act like the old one.

Hate to sound like an advertisiment here, but I used to agree with you until I actually *used* the new address bar for a couple of days.

Firefox 3.0 under Fedora 9...only problem I can detect is this text box is not keeping up with my typing speed.
I turned the so-called "awesome bar off". I hate auto-complete things regardless of the application, and this was bad because I have a tonne of bookmarks so it wasn't making my life any more convenient.
I think there is an extension called Oldbar that restores the functionality of the bar in Firefox 2, but I had that disabled too. I just went into about:config and set the value of browser.urlbar.maxRichResults to 0. Simple as that.
