Victory?!

Post by Jacobus Loki »

Quote from Lord Montague

"OOC: If Bosworth is no longer fighting this war may as well be declared over chaps."

I don't know about Nova England, tho'. Suggest we keep our guard up.

It is the opinion of MoMA that the hostilities shall not have formally ceased until such time as King Edward or some other officially appointed representative of the Kingdom of Bosworth signs an instrument of surrender in accordance with the terms offered to by the Imperial Republic of Shireroth. The Kaiser is correct - we have our victory but the war is not over until concluded by a peace.

To that end, and until that peace is secured, MoMA is of the opinion that Gascony ought to be held as collatoral.

The leader of the Nova English ought also to be required to capitulate and make reparations for engaging in mercenary acts of aggression against the Imperial Republic and its allies.

Should we divide Gascony into Occupation Zones with Batavia? They helped, loyal friends and all.

I volunteer for Military Governor!

BTW, Thanks for saving the KMV. We rescued most of the pilots, they've been busy militarizing the Gascons.

I would propose the black line on the above map as demarcating the seperate zones of control.

I support your nomination! :)

The war isn't over, we have our victory in Gascony but Bosworth isn't conquered yet!
They even get by the update of the map a lot of new lands where they can prepare for war.
From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

Um, Jonas ... generally it's impolite to invade a nation when they have no military commanders not on LOAs. I mean, if you're halfway through and they're away for a couple days ... maybe. But 4 months is just not nice ...

I don't mean we must invade Bosworth now, I just want to tell that Bosworth isn't defeated. And that we have a long way to go if we want them to surrender.

Well they are certainly defeated in Gascony and therefore the occupation can at least commence there.

Hear, Hear!

BTW, as I mentioned elsewhere, Monty has indicated to me that Redoubt Island is ours as the spoils of war.

Jeremy's claim was denied by MCS, and Matbaa has renounced it. I've modified the previous claim to take this into account.

Other than possible additions from Amokolia, I would be content to restrain annexationist tendnecies in the MCS after this claim is complete.

for those who may have forgotten,

N. Mar Sara, a bit of Mainland, and Redoubt Island

and the reminants of Lothloria

I'd advise AGAINST Lothlaria. And we need to do the other one properly ... here's a go ...

Shall we give the top half to Batavie? (though Interland didn't really help ...)

Interland is moving against Shrewsbury! Do we help, watch, or?

The Loth territory would be a base on that river/strait to the south.......

But I'm not in love with that chunk. Pre-War, I was just being Imperialistic.
Maybe we could trade it for something better........

As far as Redoubt Island goes, we should share with Batavia. Maybe Intrerland could get a trading port (a la Pondicherry....)

Here's a possible map. I'd need his Lordship's approval to give part away to Batavie or Interland ...

I'm not talking about claiming it I'm talking about splitting occupation responsibilities with Batavia over Gascony until Edward returns to surrender. Should he then fail to surrender by the 22nd of September Shireroth and Batavia can partition Gascony between themselves. May I remind everyone that Bosworth has forefitted the right to have its sovereignty respected by rashly intervening in a diplomatic dispute between Shireroth and New Britannia and subsequently by initiating an act of aggression against the Imperial Republic without a formal declaration of war.

I was after a bit of the mainland to the east, :document but, hey......

Ardy's right , we need to settle the occupation. The lines look fair, have we heard from Batavia?

I though it was that bit to the west that they got, but no big deal! N. Mar Sara and Redoubt are the big prizes.

We (Batavia) haven't any problems to get some land as present for it's aid in the war but we refuse to claim land of another nation. The occupation, off course, isn't the same as claiming the land ;)

But some land elsewhere would be more then welcome (however, the republicans could complain. But who listens to them?) :)

Maybe we can divide one of the two islands between each other. Eventually, it will become Shirithian (again) when my Great Plan to absorb Batavië in Shireroth works. :evil

Did I say that? That's meant to be a secret! :o
