My disappointment...
(this was originally a response to a post in the Landsraad Front Gate)
Everything that has occurred is just plain ridiculous. Nothing actually happened to set this all off. An idea was put forth and some interest was shown, but waited on to consult before acting. Then someone decided to make a big deal of nothing and now we have people irrationally declaring outrage over something that never even happened, and declaring they will resign. This is childish, and irritating.
Instead of being constructive or at least intelligent about things, people are just running around yelling and screaming over nothing! NOTHING! Instead of putting forth coherent arguments one way or the other people are just taking actions that don't even fit the situations. Making assumptions that don't even fit the facts and just generally making a big mess of things.
So.. YES.. this is all FUCKING RIDICULOUS!!
To be honest I'm rather disappointed with how people are handling this. We have systems and channels to deal with things. Very simple procedures. We have a Kaisers court where we can speak to the Kaiser directly. We have a Landsraad where nobles could put forth a bill stating their opinion. We have a Front Gate where non-nobles can make a stand. And almost no one has really made use of these properly!
To be honest, about the only person going about this with any intellect seems to be the Kaiser. Now I'm not saying I support the idea or not, but at least he's using legal channels and discussing things with the populous and with nobles/officials.
Maybe it's just a few making a ruckus and I'm over generalizing, but the fact remains: Enough of a mess has been made over nothing to make me disappointed in all.
Now, if people truly want to move forward, intelligently, legally and constructively, then people need to stop going around yelling about revolution and how the Kaiser has violated the law and whatever the hell else is being screamed blindly.
Jonas, you are Prætor, now act like one. Get the Landsraad involved if you feel so passionately about events. Get some billson the table to deal with the situation.
Jacobus, get your ass out of foolish exile and get back up their on the throne of the Steward and stop trying to remove the Kaiser.
Kaiser, let Jacobus continue as Steward, he's done a fine job.
Everyone else, talk to your noble, talk to your Kaiser and talk to the Landsraad. And stop for gods sake declaring support for this resignation or that. Or overthrow or whatever the hell it is you are randomly calling for. Go read the threads involved and use the intellect that makes you human.
And Me, go calm down, have some lunch. Hop on your bike and chill out. Your job here is done until someone seeks the Arbiter for a ruling again. It's so very nice and warm outside, go forth and enjoy.
That is all.

Like I said to Andreas, I've got no problem with Jacobus returning as Steward again, he did do a fine job.

Re: My disappointment...
I've got something to say.
My voice isn't being heard. And I feel like I'm the only one who ISN'T being considered on this matter - besides perhaps Jess, and that's something of an insult to me. Apparently, people don't listen unless you're Erik, Hasan, or Jacobus. Just because I've only joined Shireroth recently doesn't mean my opinions shouldn't be heard!
I've repeatedly said that NOTHING HAS BEEN FINALIZED YET as far as I know. I was aware that this was speculation, and I have said such. I have also said that I support the Mango Throne in this matter, but really, that doesn't mean anything in this context. You know why? Because NOTHING HAS HAPPENED FINALLY YET. Nothing has been set in stone. Hesam is not Shah-for-life in Babkha right now. Hasan is still Kaiser of Shireroth. He is still acting for the good of Shireroth. He recently released those economic papers Andreas was asking about. And, unless you can find something in there that tries to undermine the well-being of Shireroth, I'd ask you to find me a counter-example.
They ASKED him to be Shah. He said he'd ask us. Then it went downhill from there. C'mon guys, pay attention to the order of events here. Please.

Re: My disappointment...
Thank you Prodigy,
I haven't made much of a reply to your statements mostly because I was attempting not to create an "us" vs "them" issue. We're all citizens of Shireroth, so division is not the aim. I think what you said illustrates my point. Everyone seems to think I'm out to destroy Shireroth for some reason, but what most people don't consider is that I've known this nation longer than most current citizens. If I attempted to destroy Shireroth, I would be destroying a part of my own history in this community. And that would gain no more purpose than if I attempted to destroy Babkha. The underlying theme here is not the issue of "Shah" but a mistrust of anything connected to Babkha. Finally, this proposal is not without precedent. Ric (I believe) was once Kaiser and is now Shah of Babkha. His loyalty to either Babkha or Shireroth was never questioned and he was able to maintain activity in both countries. Ryan was another example, Jadie still another. The list is rather extensive. The point is, (and its a shame) but the relationship between Shireroth and Babkha is not well documented. It seems only the bad times are remembered and not the productive times. If Benkern had become Grand Vizier in Babkha I would have supported him. Yes, his citizenship in Shireroth was brought to light, but more as a joke than seriousness. All I asked was a legitimate discussion on the pros and cons of accepting the title they've offered. Instead I've received direct insults and tantrums from people who refuse to even discuss this reasonably.

And me raising points of possible protest and getting them answered in a rational way ....
The character Andreas the Wise is on indefinite leave.
However, this account still manages:

Manuel - CEO of VBNC. For all you'll ever need.
Vincent Waldgrave - Lord General of Gralus
Q - Director of SAMIN
Duke Mel'Kat - Air Pirate, Melangian, and Duke of the Flying Duchy of Glanurchy
And references may be made to Vur'Alm Xei'Bôn (a Nelagan Micron of undisclosed purpose).

Re: My disappointment...
After a long bike ride and lots of sun. I would like to point out that not all have angered me. Some have done very well in this situation, to them I apologize for my generalization. But my disappointment at the situation as a whole is what prompted this post. I had no desire to point fingers.
btw: Ric and Ryan were never Kaiser. Jadie was Kaiseress, and was even offered to be Shah once if I recall. Though not while Kaiseress. No one had any issue with it. Zary started as Babkhan I believe, then became the Shireithian who started the Judex, and was a Duke by marriage to JD.

Re: My disappointment...
I've attempted to answer your points as rationally as possible. Likewise with Prodigy. In both of your cases I've attempted to be as forthright as possible. I know very well that not everyone is behaving irresponsibly, but in a situation of extremes, the moderates are often overlooked. I'll try to do better to counter that in the future. Yes, your correct Erik, Jadie was offered to be Shah at one point.

Re: My disappointment...
While I wasn't Kaiser, I did head SAVAK for 3 years while still maintaining a semblance of loyalty to Shireroth. I.E. Whenever an issue arose between the two I would act in a neutral capacity, neither providing or preventing information from either side. Usually I would simply just avoid the subject matter altogether until it blew over. Which, as we know with micronationalism, this shit always blows over at some point. :P
Hesam's a good guy. I don't think he'd sacrifice Shireroth for Babkha. But even if he did, what could he actually do that the rest of you here would actually support? It just wouldn't fly for Shireroth to become a Babkhan puppet. It's unfeasible and therefore a moot point.
If anything this has only served as a stimulus for activity. Congrats in that respect.

I, too, am very disappointed. You will all be sent to the salt mines.
...
I mean, er, mango mines. Yes, that's it. You will all be sent to the mango mines.
