Dissolution of the Duchy
While it pains me to do this, I fear that with only two active citizens Goldshire will not thrive as it has a right to do. I know that, given time, Goldshire would have found citizens to fill its spots, but I must admit a certain selfish wish to see Ynnraile as part of Elwynn.
The following will be enacted by the will of the Duke:
-The barony of Ynnrail is herby offered to the Duke of Elwynn as a gift.
-The fate of the two remaining Baronies is to be decided by Harvey Steffke
-The Duchy of Goldshire is herby dissolved.
I realize this is quite underhanded of me Harvey, and for that I must apologize, but I think you would agree that your activity will be far better appreciated elsewhere.
May the Echoes of Goldshire's greatness be heard for centuries to come.

Illegal.
But thanks for Ynnraile, I hope His Grace the Duke will accept it happily.a. A Duchy may be dissolved by full consensus of the Landsraad.

If you don't want to be Duke you can give it to Harvey

This is illegal. It is unfortunate you abused your position as Duke. You were lovingly given a new Duchy, to care for, and help out. Yet now this?

Re: Dissolution of the Duchy
First, three active citizens.
In any event, I give you roughly 24 hours to realize your poor judgment and retract this decree. If you do so, you may remain duke indefinitely, provided you do not partake in such tomfoolery again. Else, if you insist on this path, I will incite rebellion to overthrow you and reclaim the seat of duke, an action I suspect Aryeztur and most of the rest of the country will support.
Do what you will. Goldshire will not die this day.

Also, I would have prefered to have been given the right to do whatever I would with my own Barony, Khorze. In any case,
this dissolution has been negated.

He can have his day before I get too unhappy. A good night's rest often helps clear away the fog of bad judgement.

Re: Dissolution of the Duchy
If you say so. I also just proclaimed myself Duke. Do you want to be Duke again if Leo doesn't relent? I'll withdraw my claim in that case. Anyhow, I'm prepared for some major revolt. Man, Khorze's armies are pissed.

Re: Dissolution of the Duchy
The dissolution is illegal. Leo hasn't abdicated per se, which makes the attempt to retake the throne by Aryeztur also illegal. I think the best course of action is to give Leo some time as Harvey said.
EDIT: I saw now that Leo is leaving. This means that the ducal throne of Goldshire is vacant and that the residents of Goldshire may elect a new Duke.

So... do you need my Imperial approval to destroy Goldshire and give the lands to Elwynn?

IF Goldshire were to be destroyed, Brookshire should get a slice of it. Elwynn has enough citizens as it is.

Of course. If that's the decision of the locals.Malliki Tosha wrote:IF Goldshire were to be destroyed, Brookshire should get a slice of it. Elwynn has enough citizens as it is.

Haha, probably not. I think they'll just elect a new Duke.

Re: Dissolution of the Duchy
Only the specific clause regarding the dissolution of the duchy is negated by higher law as being ultra vires. The part concerning Ynnraile was perfectly valid and Elwynn happily accepts and appreciates this kind gesture.
