EBR4 is awful, don't buy the extra content, it's just me doing accents!
And if that's not enough proof, buy it and listen for yourself

Re: EBR4
Jess--
I really enjoy listening to real news that you and your guest contributors share with your audiences, and to hearing other Shirerithians contribute as well. However, when you make disparaging remarks about our allies, your credibility and the value of the podcast are both lowered.
"No one cares about Tellia," was said at least 4 times by you and not disagreed to by either Benkern or Corey. Tellia may be a small nation, and it may be fairly new, but as an ally of Shireroth, it deserves our respect, not our ridicule. It does not seem to me to be totally out of the realm of reasonableness for a tiny country to ask if a huge one can spare a couple of crumbs. We turned them down, and the king has not kept pestering us, but has accepted our reply. First in the relevant forum and now in EBR4, they are put down repeatedly by several people, which I find appalling.
Yes, I have recently joined Tellia, and am now a councillor to the king, but this is not why I am posting this. It is a sign of severe rudeness to disrespect someone just because they either: are smaller than we are; are weaker than we are; are younger than we are; can defend themselves less well than we can. It is a sign also of immaturity to attack someone else who has done nothing wrong.
Yes, I know, King Christopher requested the small island off the coast of Tellia. He had no way of knowing Benacia's history. And when he found out, he was gracious about it. He was, however, uinhappy about the way some of us treated him in the forum. Now this treatment is being extended to the micronational and wider world, and I find it reprehensible. I think it would be a sign of understanding and maturity to appologize to Tellia in general and to King Christopher in particular, and to make this apology well-known and public.

Re: EBR3
Carol, sorry, the "no-one cares about Tellia" bit is a sort of recurring joke, it's not meant seriously. It started when we had little to no news about Tellia in the first episode, and cemented as an EBR "thing" in the announcement thread on the MCS.
Vilhelm von Benkern - The Dolphin-...Count
:: Formerly just "benkern"
:: Rook Sentry of the Order of the Vorpal Blade
:: Count of Mar Sara IIRC
:: Former Baron of Absentia AFAIK, before that Baron of Vorpmadal TBH; also Former Duke of Yardistan IMHO
:: Dux Emeritus of the Order of Mischievous Intent
It takes moo to mango!

This is also free media, for a given amount of free. They can say whatever they want about Tellia, they do not represent the official Shirerithian foreign policy.

Re: EBR3
Thanks, Benkern, but I still think it is very bad form to kick a small country that doesn't have the population and weight to defend itself in a fair contest. You Brits are known for talking about fairness and good form. This shows neither. And just because someone has made this a running gag, it still doesn't give us the right to continue this.
And, Mike, most reporters try not to treat the subjects of their reports in such a disgraceful manner. I realize that we have freedom of the press, but we also have letters to the editor. Consider mine such.
Jess--I hope you mean what you just said. I appreciate your creativity and initiative. I hope you will also try to remain even-handed when discussing issues and allies.

Re: EBR3
If "no one cares about Tellia" then why did we bother mentioning them.
No, I have the utmost respect for Tellia. I mean, hell, they had the guts to come asking us for land. That's pretty (pardon my french) bitchin'.
