Vivaldia

The Republic of Vivaldia was founded in 1998 by Skinner Layne.

Government

The Vivaldian Governmental Structure consists of a Legislative Branch, an Executive Branch, a Judicial Branch, and the Local Governments of the 5 Cantons and 2 Territories.

The Legislative Branch is made up of the Lower House, called the House of Deputies, and the Upper House, called the Chamber of Delegates. The Lower House contains 15 members. The Upper House contains 5 Members, 1 from each canton (2 in the case of a tie). Members of the Chamber of Delegates serve 4 Month Terms, and members of the House of Deputies serve 2 Month Terms.

The Exectutive Branch is made up of the Prime Minister, who is elected by the House of Deputies, and his cabinet, which is made up of the following Ministers: Finance, Defense, Foreign Affairs, Environment Transportation Education & Engergy, and Website.

The Judicial Branch consists of the Federal Tribunal, which is made up of three Judges appointed by the Prime Minister and confirmed by the Chamber of Delegates.

There are 5 Cantons, Galstrum, Orchala, Mershania, Spearsly, and Torill. There are also 2 Territories, Moberly, and Corrilla. Each of the Cantons and Territories is allowed to form its own government. Territories must have a Territorial Charter approved by the Prime Minister for it to take effect, and the Territorial Administrator must be appointed by the Prime Minister.
