The RIMA Journal

With his commitments to the Atteran Chronicle World and Attera ending in February 2005, and with his Gotzborg duties not requiring much intensive work, Sinclair decided to fill the void in his nearly-continuous participation in micronational news through a new publication. Created in April 2005, the RIMA Journal is the official news service of Sinclair's Royal Institute of Micronational Antiquities (RIMA) and is a publication which focuses mostly on communicating micronational history to its readers. In July 2005, the publication was expanded to include a greater amount of current affairs news while each issue was customized to one historical theme. The Journal also profiles various arts & culture issues in micronationalism. The RIMA Journal initially started out as a blog service intended only to provide press releases from the Royal Institute but was soon expanded to being primarily a monthly issue as that format was more time-considerate for Sinclair's macronational schedule. The July 2005 issue of the RIMA Journal cemented its position as the Anglophone Sector's most popular news and history publication (in circulation at that time) as that issue had close to 350 downloads.

Quick Facts

1. The RIMA Journal was not part of the original plan for the Royal Institute of Micronational Antiquities. It was created following polling done by Sinclair which showed over 90% of the Anglophone Sector wanted to read a history-oriented publication as opposed to Sinclair starting a new dedicated current affairs news service.
