Pale of Angularis also known as The Pale is the name of a cultural and geographical area in the Deep South which is situated in the Bailiwick of the Princely Precinct of the Elwynnese Union called the Kingdom of Amokolia which is known as the Vale of Angularis.

Geography

The area is situated beyond the River Elwynn where it it lies south of Tielion Loki, west of Ardashirshahr and north of Azeroth. It includes the ancient trade towns of Eribazistaan and Metyl Themar.

History

The area came into being during the Ducal Reign of Sirithil nos Fëanor when Metyl Themar was established as an outpost for the Elwynnese trading activities of the Sameinaða Erlendur Kaupsýsla Einokun Félagið (SEKEF), which used as a base for trade with the Trans-Elwynnese i.e. non-Shirerithian Elw.

In the Baronial Reign of Ardashir I, several Babkhi traders were invited into The Pale by the SEKEF as an insurance policy. They founded the trade town of Eribazistaan.

Origin of Name

The Pale of Angularis derives its name from the pallisade of the fortified ditch and rampart built around the Metyl Themar area by the SEKEF as part of early temporary defenses. The pallisade was later replaced with a stone wall, but the area continued to be referred to as "The Pale".
