Initially a gaming clan named 'Soviet Empire' founded by Siberian Fox in the summer of 2000. Fox toiled with the web page by adding information concerning Soviet weaponry as well as other snippits of Soviet heritage. The PRNSE wasnt micro-national until Fox stumbled upon micronations and discovered he didnt find any he particularly took interest in so he established his own in what was to be known as The Peoples Republic of the New Soviet Empire. The PRNSE was an experiment in communism as well as an ever increasing database on the former Soviet Union. According to PRNSE founder Siberian Fox, he liked the idea of building a community to go along with his archive of Sovietology; in which the micro-nation served an ideal role in doing.
