Nor-Krantism

A micronational religion based on the gods, myths, and rituals of the Nordo-Germanic tribes. It's name coined by David Beckford, its first High Priest of Voten, originally applying only to followers outside Cranda. It was gradually extended to include the entire religion, with an adjectival form of Nor-Krantisk. The religion is headed by the High Priest of Voten, who presides at the Grand Temple of Bergbuurg (or Bergbuurgs Minsderr) much as the catholic pope. Rules for selecting the High Priest have never been decided; Crandish King Johanns V placed the first and thusfar only High Priest on the pulpit about two years ago. With the resent abdication of David Beckford, the pulpit now sits vacant. Despite the meeting of a religious council at Haligdombuurg, the religion thusfar has no cannon or distinct morale message. It does not accept the existence of gods outside its mythology, however, and has declared crusades, most notably against Treesia. Nor-Krantism was formerly the official religions of Northworthy and Cranda, and remains so in their union, Arminy.
