Nathan founded the City of Natopia (currently the Sovereign Imperial Kingdom of [[Natopia]]) on August 23, 2002. Since that time he has constantly been involved in bringing that nation a degree of prominence and respect in the community. In his 3 years of micronationalism, Nathan has been a citizen of Korhal, Lavalon, Antica, and Alrodria. Nathan's Korhali citizenship allowed him to gain Antican citizenship while retaining other citizenships, a rare anomaly due to Antica's citizenship policy, due to Korhal being annexed into Antica. Lavalon was a primary concern of Nathan's for almost a year. Joining at the request of Zachary K., Nathan was immediatly appointed to the position of Chief Justice, the position he served for his entire life in Lavalon. Nathan left Lavalon in early 2005 due to personal differences with the newest generation of Lavalonian immigrants. After the Venerable Union of Aligned States ([[VUAS]]) brought Lavalon under Natopia, Nathan returned to Lavalon as a resident. Nathan's Lavalonian residency/citizenship was self-terminated for a final time when Lavalon left VUAS.

During the months leading up to Nathan's departure from Lavalon, members of the opposition to the Progressive Bagelcratican Party of Lavalon, then the majority party of Lavalon, began to say that the Bagelcraticans were simply a tool for Natopian domination of Lavalon. Some would say this accusation proved true, citing VUAS, whiles others maintain that the opposition was demonstrating "racism towards Natopians."

His second life was haunted by the fact that he was now a divine entity. This caused his reign to tend towards instability, and eventually decay and insanity. Nathan Waffel-Paine was a long-lived character on Micras. He served as leader of Natopia for many years and had stints in Shireroth and Stormark. While in Elwynn, Nathan adopted the surname Dariolin. While in Athlon, and while fulfilling his duties as Pentheros of the Bovic Church, he used the name Theodores Athanatos. In Stormark he adopted the name Sighard Gafolgyld.
