The Monarchy of Elwynn
King Noah of Elwynn on a Royal Procession through the Kingly City of Eliria.
The Royal Banner of the Kings of Elwynn represents Elwynn and the Houses of Ayreon-Kalirion and of the Descendants of Freyja.

The King of Elwynn is the monarch and head of state of the Imperial State of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth which is known as the Elwynnese Union. The present King of Elwynn is Thorstein Noah Hallbjörns- og Esthersson of the Houses of Waffel-Paine‎‎, Ayreon-Kalirion, and of the Descendants of Freyja.

Symbolism

The King is as holder of the White Orchid Throne the Embodiment of the Elwynnese Union and its Sovereignty, Unity and Permanence. He is joined in sacred marriage with the White Orchid Goddess, who since ancient times is the Matron and Sacred Queen of the Flower of the North. Their marriage symbolizes the unbreakable and indestructible bond between the aforesaid White Orchid Lady and the Elwynnese Union.

Powers

The King of Elwynn is an absolute monarch with all executive, legislative and judicial power in the Flower of the North vested in Him by the Constitution of the Elwynnese Union. The aforesaid constitional document also providies the few limits of the King's powers. The King enjoys full and absolute Crown Immunity.

Since 1640, however, the King has delegated His judicial power to the Royal Courts of Justice, to wit: the Court of Star Chamber and the Court of Castle Chamber as well as the subordinate Law Courts existing within the aforesaid Courts of Law. Since the Constitution of the Elwynnese Union is supreme in authority to any Royal Decree the King can, however, still exercise judicial authority as a reserve power in the Court of the King's Chamber.

His Riverine Majesty's Court

An essential part of proper Kingship is behaving like a King. To that end His Riverine Majesty the King of the Lands of the Two Sacred Rivers, with the gracious assistence of Elwynns Konungurs Hirð and the Fleur de Lys-Longships Guard, maintains an opulent Court.

Tourists and visitors from near and far flock to the Court of the Womb of the Lady Esther to view the splendor of His Riverine Majesty's Court and see His many extravagancies.

History

The Elwynnese Kingship was insituted in 1629 by the decree, issued with the consent of the Council of Eliria, of the then Steward of Elwynn, Hallbjörn Haraldsson, which elevated Elwynn from a Principality to a Kingdom.
