Avatar of Ayreon II

Kaiser Ayreon II reigned as Shireroth from 4667 ASC (May 16th, 2012) until 4700. He was designated the heir and successor of Hasan II at the end of the latter's reign, which was (as promised) relatively short. Though Ayreon's reign may not have begun with quite the same flair as that of his predecessor, in its continuance it has already become notable: in the definition of the former Barony of Greater Lakhesia as the Shirerithian protectorate of Sanilla; the acquisition of Safiria as another protectorate; the formation of a constitutional committee for determining the future direction of Shireroth; and the betterment of relations with the Union of Elwynn, Amokolia, and Hurmu, including the bestowing of the title of Honorary Senator upon the Kaiser by the Union.

Possibly also included in the last category was the Kaiser's marriage. In 4672 His Niftiness wed Nathan Dariolin, Prince of Elwynn, Amokolia, and Hurmu, who thereafter became known in Shireroth as His Niftiness the Imperial Consort, Nathan of Huyenkula. Ayreon is believed to be the first Kaiser to participate in a same-sex marriage; nonetheless, despite the relative novelty, news of the marriage was warmly welcomed among the citizenry, with virtually no public protest.
