Editor's Note: This article was written in 2004 or early 2005 for the MicroWiki and may be out of date. Bartholomew Alexander Henzelli was born in the United States in 1987. He was born into a middle-class working family with two parents and a sister. There were several fish, his favorite of which was named "Doggy." Doggy died, but not until after the family had acquired a kitten named "Tommy." When all the fish, including Doggy died, the family acquired a dog named "Fritz." Because of his early exposure to animals, Henzelli learned to be empathetic with man and animals, alike, which has been attributed to his present political ideals. Up until 2001-2002, Henzelli really didn't care about politics. He had his ideals, but didn't think much about them. However, when his father lost his job because it simply "wasn't economical to keep him employed," Henzelli knew something was wrong. About the same time, he and a friend began to play a game involving throwing paper at each other and blaming it on the "communist flies." The word Communist had always been an evil thing to Henzelli, growing up in a right-wing conservative Republican home, but he really had no idea what it meant. Through careful research, Henzelli came to understand that Communism and Socialism were in line with his political ideals. On October 22, 2002, he and a small group of friends established the first constitution for a country Henzelli originally called the Confederation of Socialist States. It would later become known as the [[Socialist State of New Germany]], and the road to socialist utopia would begin. Three constitutions in all were adopted and finalized by the original founders, but by mid-2003, enthusiasm for the project wore off. Henzelli, eager to see what could be done with it, took the country online and met others involved in micronationalism. The nation stagnated, and in late 2004, he took it offline. During its time online, Henzelli served as the first and third Presidents, serving as Vice-President under Donotello Avon after he left his post due to lack of support. Following the ill-fated "Perestroika Accord," Henzelli knew something had to be done. So he took the country online as mentioned above. For a number of months, Henzelli didn't worry much about the SSNG. It was always there in the back of his mind, but it was never anything very important. Then, on February 21, he brought it roaring back to life with an influx of new ideas and contributors from the [[Republic of Lavalon]]. Currently, Henzelli serves as the SSNG's Provisional President until the constitution has been finalized. He is hoping that this will be the fourth and final constitution they have to write, and that the SSNG will enter a new prosperous age of activity.
