Elwynn has a population of almost 184 million people, of which 42% identify themselves as belonging to the Elw ethnicity. The second largest ethnic group is the Ardashirian with almost a fourth of the Elwynnese population. The Amokolians, divided in two ethnic groups of almost the same size, count 12% of the population.
Elw holds a majority in the counties of Eliria & Utasia, Illumination, Iserdia and Wintergleam, and Elw is the largest ethnic group (plurality, not majority) in Agnesia, Akerbjorn, Araxion, Brassica Minor (Mina Durtarui), Lun Ezkaron. The proportion of Elw is smallest in Akerbjorn (7%), Bjorngard (2%), Raikoth (2%), and Cimmeria (16%). Among the metropolitan counties, the proportion is lowest in Cape Farewell (29%) and Alalehzamin (27%) and Araxion (31%).
Ardashirians (Babkhi) hold majority in Alalehzamin but has a significant minority position in Agnesia (38%), Brassica Minor (Mina Durtarui) (29%) and Eliria & Utasia (17%).
The most ethnically homogenous county is Raikoth in which 93% of the population identifies as Hyperborean. Brassicans has a majority in Brassica Major (Northern Absentia) and the Cimmerians have a majority in their namesake county, Cimmeria.
The largest proportion of traditionally non-Elwynnese ethnic groups can be found in Wintergleam (29%) (mainly other Shirerithian peoples such as Goldshirians), Brassica Major (20%, mainly migrant workers from Batavia and other parts of Shireroth), and Akerbjorn (42%). Akerbjorn is a special case because the majority of this group is ethnically homogenous, considered to be native Akerbjorners.
