A Ducal anthem or hymn is a patriotic song, much like a national anthem but specifically praising, or praying for, a Duke or Ducal dynasty. Such anthems are usually performed at public appearances by the Duke or during other events of Ducal importance. Until now, the day of writing, Kildare is the only duchy with a Duchal anthem.
